A Splash of Color Tattooing was first established in ’89 by the former owner James Brown . The current owner Rick Almond first started working at the studio in ’93 and together with James , they started building the studio’s reputation for solid good quality tattooing . Rick eventually went on to buy the business in ’05 . Since then the studio has continued it’s standard of high quality custom tattooing .

Over the years we have had many talanted artists that have moved on to some of  Melbourne’s other top tattoo studios ,

some of which include Emily Rose Murry (Private Studio) , Matt Collins (Dynamic Tattoo) and Kane Berry (Green Lotus).

Since ’07 a Splash of Color has taken part in the Good Friday Appeal for the Royal Children’s Hospital . All the money made on the day being donated to the hospital , so far we have raised a total of $26,754.35 . We hope to keep adding to this total each year , having a child who needs continued care it’s our special way of saying Thank You .
