Access Hair Salon was opened with a vision to create a salon with a professional yet relaxed atmosphere, an emphasis on personal services tailored to meet a clients individual need. NINA S.

SALON DIRECTOR

Nina has been hairdressing for over 15 years. She was born in Adelaide and began her career at a boutique salon under the guidance of Jo Giorgo who divided her time between session styling in New York and working in her Adelaide based salon. Nina moved on to a chain of salons and started as a senior stylist. Within a year, she was the manager of a salon and won top senior four years running and she won salon of the year every year after for four years as a manager. Moving to Sydney she worked as head senior stylist at Access Hair before taking ownership in 2011. Nina has participated in session styling for LabelM and is making a name for herself as a talented colourist with a passion for colours and products that treat and actually improve the condition of the hair.

TROY L.

SENIOR STYLIST

Troy started his career as a makeup artist in Canberra in the early days after leaving his hometown of Young in country NSW. After working in the industry for a period he made the choice to begin a career in hairdressing which he has excelled in ever since. Troy began training in Wollongong under the direction of Peter Marx from BluKiss Hair Gallery before moving onto Katz and Marx in Sydney where he quickly realised his passion lay in upstyling and fashion editorial. Working alongside his mentor he was able to gain experience, not only in salon hairdressing, but in editorial work in fashion and television commercials. Troy takes a scientific approach to hair, carefully analysing each client to be able to provide the right service, tailored to each individuals needs.
Nina is delighted to have Troy working at Access Hair, his unique personality and style complement the happy atmosphere within the salon.

GABI D.

SENIOR STYLIST

Gabi has been part of the fashion and design industry for 15 years, and has been a hairdresser for 13 years. She began her design career in Fashion production, and went onto study Fine Arts in Textiles Design, before moving into Hairdressing. After winning several awards in hair fashion styling, she went on to study various courses in all facets of hairdressing. She worked as a much sought after senior stylist in Balmain for 10 years, as well as in fashion and photographic styling.

Her passion is learning new skills and in education, so her clients not only have great hair, but they feel confident to maintain their looks at home. Her goal as a stylist is to provide not only fashion forward, quality hairstyles, but to create a look and image for her clients with which they can define their own personal style.

After a 5 year sabbatical in Interior Design, she has returned to the industry she is most passionate about, to create the looks her clients love to wear.

Green Practices

We are strong believers in ethical business practices and environmental sustainability. Huge French doors flood the building with natural light so that we can minimise the use of electricity. All of our lights have been refitted with environmentally friendly low output downlights as part of an ‘energye’ and government initiative. Access Hair is proud to be carbon neutral, thanks to the purchase of carbon offsets through climate friendly.

Access Hair are an exclusive ‘Pravana’ colour salon. Pravana is new to Australia and contains the lowest levels of ammonia and parabens. Wherever possible they are organic and plant based and also boast an amazing range of vegan, organic colour glosses and treatments. Plus pure kreatin for maximum shine, colour durability and hair health.

All our cleansing, conditioning and styling products are from Label M and adopt the same organic and high quality plant based ingredients, as well as being sulphate free. Their range includes their exclusive enviroshield complex, meaning they also protect from sun, wind, chemical and heat styling and the dreaded humidity.
