Active Body Therapies specialises in Sports Massage and Remedial Massage therapy. Our team of fully-qualified Remedial Massage therapists are experienced in treating a wide range of conditions.

Located in the central beachside suburb of Miami, we treat clients from all over the Gold Coast including athletes, office professionals, seniors, trades people and busy mums.

Robert founded Active Body Therapies in 2007. He is a former member of the Runaway Bay Sports Super Centre Sports Medicine team and was a member of the Brisbane Lions Massage team for two season (2007-2008) and the Gold Coast United Soccer Massage team (2009-2010).

Robert’s clients range from: amateur, professional and elite athletes in a variety of sports such as: football, golf, athletics, swimming, cycling, running, surf life saving, basketball, triathlon, rowing, dancing and martial arts. Robert also treats clients from a non-sporting background including: tradespeople, office professionals, retirees and anyone seeking relief from stress-related muscle soreness and body aches, as well as injuries and ailments such as lower back pain, shoulder and neck pain, frozen shoulder, headaches and sciatica.

In his spare time, Robert enjoys mountain biking, spending time with his family and going to the beach.

Kinesio Taping

Developed more than 30 years ago by a Japanese chiropractor, Kinesio® Tape is used to give support after an injury and during rehabilitation to prevent overuse.
