ABOUT ACTIVFIT

Our Philosophy

“Where focus goes, energy flows”

We aim to help you understand your problem and help you get better as soon as possible. You need to know:

What is wrong with your body
How long it will take to get better
What we can do to help make you better
What you can do to help make yourself better

KNOW PAIN = KNOW GAIN

Why Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a 4 year university degree and a number of physiotherapists go on to complete a 2 year Masters degree and become titled Sports or Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists. Physiotherapists have always worked closely with the medical profession and we are bound by strict ethical guidelines laid down by our professional association and by the Australian Health Professionals Registration Board.

Now about our physiotherapy philosophy and treatments. At ActivFit we believe that a thorough assessment followed by a hands-on manual therapy treatment, complemented by home stretches and exercises, offers the best evidence-based solution to musculoskeletal problems. We are also trained in acupuncture.

Finally, treatment costs are $95 for the initial consultation and $90 for follow-up consultations, which are 1/2 hour appointments. Most simple problems require only 2-4 consultations, with a follow-up after a month if necessary. Not all problems are simple though, and a longer term problem may require further visits to relieve the pain and ensure that all predisposing factors that led to the problem are sorted out.

Reviews

“I have seen several phsio’s over the years from play football both here and in the UK and he is head and shoulders the best physio I’ve worked with. Sensible and practical advise, no fluff and gets results. Once you’ve been to see Ken you will never go to another physio again.”

“Ken’s deep understanding and experience in multi sports disciplines enabled him to communicate exactly what I should be doing to help recover from a sports injury, and explain why I needed to incorporate future strength and conditioning exercises as a prevention measure.

Following his advice, I was able to regain the strength needed, incorporating exercises into my day to day working life. I have not had any troubles since. Always good to bump into Ken for a chat when out for a run or doing some laps in the pool! Highly recommend his physio practice to anyone in need.”

“Best physio I’ve been too. As an ex-professional ballerina, I had many sustained injuries and seen a lot of physios. I know that I can rely on Ken every time because of his professionalism and expertise in physiotherapy and in elite sports.”

“Ken helped me heal after a problem I had ignored for most of a year. My chiro couldn’t help. My GP couldn’t help. Ken set me straight and now I am able to be active again.”
