We are a small firm of accountants based in Norman Park, Brisbane, servicing clients all over Australia.

Introducing our Team
Quinton Choi

Quinton joined the firm in 2006 after completing his Masters of Business in Professional Accounting degree from QUT. As a registered Tax Agent he specialises mainly in compliance, assisting clients in the preparation of business financial statements and tax returns. He will also happily provide taxation and business related advice where necessary. His interests outside work include the gym, cycling and is a sports nut. He has also topped the office footy tipping competition on a regular basis.

Kathryn McDougall

Kathryn joined the firm in 2008. Prior to that she worked as a pharmacist and moonlighted as a pilates instructor. She has since completed her Advanced Diploma of Accounting and is looking forward to undertaking further study in the future. She is interested in all areas of accounting practice, particularly problem-solving and research. Surprisingly, she still seems to enjoy Andrew’s and Quinton’s bad jokes and lengthy conversations about sport and politics.

Cat Michalakellis

Cat joined the firm in 2015 after completing a Certificate III in Business Administration. Cat is the heart of customer service for all AD Hamilton & Associates clients. She is the first person you’ll see when you visit our office and she always welcomes you with a smile. Not only does Cat give clients a friendly reception, be that in person or on the phone, she also looks after office administration, provides communication support to clients and the Accounting Team, fields your enquiry expertly, refers you on to one of our accountants for further advice, and manages account processing tasks.

In her personal life, Cat enjoys Fishing, Camping and experimental cooking (experimental meaning; throwing things together and hoping they taste good- although they often don’t). Cat also loves spending time with her partner and absolutely loves the rain.

Robert Bauman

Robert Bauman has been a Financial Planner for 17 years and an Accountant and Business Advisor for over 25 years. Robert’s passion is to educate and empower people to take their financial future into their own hands. That’s why he wrote two books to spread the message he has distilled over the years of his accounting and financial planning practice.

His vast experience in the work and business world allows him to understand exactly what challenges people face to make their money and get ahead financially, whether as an employee or an employer.

In his personal time, Robert enjoys spending time with his daughters and grandchild. He is a season ticket holder for the Brisbane Lions and he enjoys a relaxing (sometimes frustrating) game of golf from time to time.

Keith Tan

Keith joined the firm in 2014 after working part time as a bookkeeper. He graduated with Masters of Commerce in Professional Accounting from UQ and will commence his CPA studies in the near future. He specializes in preparation of tax returns and financial statements for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies. On top of that, he also sets up and registers business entities and liaises with the ATO on behalf of clients.

Outside of work, Keith’s interests include movies, food, board games and basketball. He also volunteers for a church in Newmarket in the young adult’s ministry.

Maria Duval

Maria joined the team in 2005 with several years experience in chartered accounting firms as well as state government.

Since joining the Team, Maria’s primary focus has been serving clients by supporting Robert in the provision of administration and accounting . Her responsibilities include the preparation of reports and maintaining the financial position of the practice. She is meticulous and enjoys detail.

Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her family.
