Dale and Waters was established in 1975 as a family business. The family believed plus size women deserved greater choice when it came to clothing.
As is the case with most families each member had their own individual style. These individual styles were incorporated into the business.
This allowed Dale and Waters to offer a great range of plus size clothing for any occasion. The business quickly grew and soon there were Dale and Waters boutiques set up throughout Australia.
During the eighties Dale and Waters saw a need to provide their particular range of clothing to more remote areas of Australia.
In order to realise this dream a mail order operation was launched and catalogues began being sent out.
Mail to Order catalogues were launched and the customers responded so well that all but one boutique in Perth remained open.
In 2006 as demand for quality clothing grew around Australia, Dale and Waters closed their final boutique to concentrate solely on mail order.
As Dale and Waters continued to meet the needs of their customers, the business grew and grew.
Throughout Dale and Waters’ history there has been a consistent focus on style, quality and price. Our designs reflect the need for our ladies to feel comfortable through the use of cottons and light fabrics.
We also use bright colours and gorgeous prints for style and versatility. Our loyal customers love the quailtiy of our garments and some have been using us for a very long time.
Today Dale and Waters is striding to offer customers a one stop shop experience for their plus size clothing needs, by offering a wider range of plus size tops, dresses, bras & briefs and in the future introducing accessories.
We are also looking at increasing the network of stockists around Australia and New Zealand by offering plus size wholesale services to smaller boutiques.
