Arkive Vintage is a collection of men’s & ladies vintage clothing, accessories and homewares. After a combined retail working history of over two decades in the vintage business in London and Nottingham, UK, we started our (ad)venture in 2009 as permanent trader’s at Brick Lane’s famous Vintage Market in the East End of London. We also supplied TopShop’s largest store at Oxford Street in Central London with vintage pieces. We opened our first retail store in Australia in 2012.
We stock original vintage pieces dating from the 1930s to the 1990s – most are in their original state, and some are brought up to date with some clever customisation. We also stock new product, such as accessories like bow ties, sunglasses and jewellery that are in classic fabrics or shapes and have a nod to vintage.
The product is hand picked & sourced from suppliers in the UK, Europe & USA. We do not scour charity shops to source our product and you can be assured that we pay particular attention to quality, condition and style when selecting our pieces. This is to ensure that we bring to you the best grade and most on-trend items possible.
The increase of fast, disposable fashion, where a rapid cycle of mass produced fashion is sold at rock bottom prices has led to a trend and interest towards vintage clothing. At Arkive Vintage, we bring to you the best of the bygone decades, with well crafted, quality and timeless pieces that are stylish and also have a shelf life.

Privacy Policy We value your privacy on the Internet and have put in place a policy to protect your personal information. It addresses what information we gather, how we use it and hold it, and how to correct or change it. In short, all information you share with us remains strictly private – we do not share or sell information to third parties, or use personal information for any reason other than its intended use.
Any personal information that you provide to us, including your name, telephone number, address and email address will not be disclosed, sold or rented to any entities or individuals outside of Arkive Vintage. However, in order to provide you with services in connection with our products and services, such as delivering packages, processing payments and sending mail and emails, we may disclose personal information to our service providers. They will have access to your information needed to perform these services, but we will not authorise them to use your personal information for any other purpose.
We store personal information in various ways, such as paper and electronic form. We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is secure and protected from unauthorised access, disclosure, loss, misuse, or alteration.
We are committed to keeping information up to date and accurate. If you feel that the personal information we have about you is incomplete or inaccurate, you may contact us at any time and ask for its correction. You may make changes to your personal information by logging in, with your username and password, and then visiting the ‘My Account’ page and making the necessary changes. If you have forgotten your password or want to change your password, you may do so by visiting the ‘My Account’ page, and clicking ‘Change Password’ and then click ‘Lost Password’ in the next window. You will be asked to enter your username or email address & emailed a link to create a new password. (Because password and credit card information has been encrypted, it is completely invisible, including to us).
This Privacy Policy only addresses activities from our servers. You may be able to access other sites (including website links and third party sites or services with which www.arkivevintage.com is connected). Those other websites are not subject to our privacy policies, standards, and procedures and may have their own privacy policies and practices, which we do not control. You will need to review or contact those websites directly to ascertain their privacy policies and practices.
Arkive Vintage does not store any financial information provided to us by our customers in accordance with the highest of PCI-DSS standards. Your card payment will be processed securely by SecurePay’s DirectOne Payment Solution. SecurePay is a business of Australia Post and DirectOne’s payment pages are secured by SecurePay’s own 128-bit SSL certificate supplied by GeoTrust. This level of encryption is currently considered realistically unbreakable. Your card details are encrypted before being passed directly to our bank, without ever being stored on either our system or DirectOne’s system. We use cookies to help us improve our services to visitors to our site and to ensure that our site is easy to navigate and useful to our visitors (such as keeping track of your shopping cart and your username). Delivery Time Any delivery date or time specified for postage by Arkive Vintage is an estimate provided to us, by Australia Post or by a contracted Freight/Courier Company. Arkive vintage will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered through any reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery.
Acceptance of Order Our acceptance of your order is not indicated by the generation of an electronic receipt or email and it does not confirm our offer to sell. Arkive Vintage reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason. We may require additional verifications and information prior to accepting any order and you may be contacted by our credit and fraud avoidance department in this instance.
Deliveries outside of Australia All prices on our site are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and will be charged in Australian Dollars. Prices do not include foreign taxes, customs duties and other fees, which may be imposed by the destination country. These fees are the responsibility of the customer. Please check with your local customs office for further information regarding potential import fees. We cannot accept returns on parcels where the customer does not want to pay customs.
Ownership and Risk The ownership and risk of damage of your purchase is transferred to you upon delivery to the specified address.
Pricing Prices are subject to change without notice. Online prices may differ from prices available elsewhere. All prices on our site are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and will be charged in Australian Dollars and include GST. If your card is from a bank outside Australia, your card provider will apply the exchange rate when your card is charged.
The accessories pictured with the clothing are not included in the purchase price, unless it is specified in the description. We style the clothing in the photographs with accessories to show how they may be worn. Accessories are sold separately and are available for purchase in the ‘Accessories‘ section.
Policy Changes Arkive Vintage reserves the right to review and change this policy at their discretion and will notify you of any amendments by posting an updated version on our website.

Returns Can I return something if I’m not happy with it? If you receive your online order and you are unhappy with the way it looks or fits, we will gladly receive your goods back and issue you with a Credit Voucher to spend online (valid for 12 months from the date of issue & emailed to the email address used to place the order), provided that:
1. It is not a sale or clearance item, or item purchased during a special promotion or discount offer, or pierced earrings or swimwear, unless the item/s are defective
2. The item has not been worn & is in its original purchase condition (We cannot accept items that have been worn, retain an odour or have been washed)
3. The original tags are attached to the item and are intact (Please DO NOT cut off tags before trying on items as we cannot accept items where tags have been ‘re-attached’ by customers)
4. The item is accompanied by its original purchase receipt
If any of these conditions are not met, we are unable to receive your item for return.
How do I send the item/s back? 1. You will need to email us within 7 days of receiving the item/s to request a Returns Authorisation (R.A.) Number by emailing: shoponline@arkivevintage.com
We will email you back with a Returns Authorisation Number, Returns Form to include with your returned item & Shipping Label to affix to your parcel.
Please note: Items must be returned at your own cost and we cannot credit the value of the original postage costs, unless the exchange is a result of our error.
We recommend our customers’ send back the item/s via Registered or Express Post so that you can track your parcel, as we cannot take responsibility for your return parcel.
2. The item/s must be received by Arkive Vintage within 7 days of your Returns Authorisation (R.A) Number being issued.
PLEASE NOTE : WE CANNOT ACCEPT RETURNS WITHOUT AN R.A NUMBER AND CANNOT ACCEPT RETURNS AT OUR SURFERS PARADISE STORE FROM PURCHASES MADE ONLINE.

What happens after I have sent the item/s back? Your Credit Voucher will be emailed to you (to the email address used to place the order). It is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
What happens if I receive a faulty garment? Arkive Vintage takes great pride in the quality of our vintage goods and every item that is sent to you is quality checked first. We are not legally obligated to offer refunds off the purchase price or credit vouchers on items, or exchanges because you have changed your mind. However, our customers are entitled to a refund if the item is faulty, not of merchantable quality or not fit for its purpose.
Our policy in these instances is that you, as the customer are entitled to a refund for items you have purchased online from www.arkivevintage.com if the item is:
(a) Faulty and the fault or defect was not pointed out to you before you purchased it or would not have been apparent to you when you inspected the goods before purchase; or
(b) Not ‘of merchantable quality’, meaning that it is not of the quality that you reasonably expected when you purchased it, keeping in mind the way the item was described to you before your purchase, that Arkive Vintage sells vintage products (i.e. used), and also the price of the item; or
(c) Not fit for its purpose, meaning that the item does not do what you reasonably expected it would;
And you return the item/s within a reasonable time after purchase. We request that you follow our returns procedure of emailing shoponline@arkivevintage.com within 7 days of receipt of goods and then returning the item/s to Arkive Vintage within 7 days of receipt of your Returns Authorisation Number.
Arkive Vintage reserves the right to ask you to demonstrate that you did not cause or create the fault in the item/s.
If your returned item/s is deemed faulty, we will refund your original purchase amount to the credit or debit card used in the original purchase.
Alternatively, you may elect to receive a replacement item, if there is one available or choose to be reimbursed by an Arkive Vintage credit note that may be issued to the retail value of the item, not including postage cost (the retail value of the item is the amount that was paid for the item at the time of purchase). Arkive Vintage credit notes are valid for six months from the date of issue and able to be used to purchase goods online from www.arkivevintage.com.
