Sally
Sally believes yoga enhances mindfulness; yoga quietens and focuses the mind, increases the body’s strength, flexibility and vitality and gives a deeper relationship, understanding and knowledge of body, mind, breath and spirit.
Sally has had an ongoing involvement in yoga for 20 years – studying, practicing and teaching on retreats and overseas.
She says: “Yoga is more than something I do – it’s become my way of living.”
Working with the body through yoga, it seemed a natural progression for her, to gain a deeper understanding and support clients further by using the holistic therapies of Massage, Reflexology and Chi Touch Balance – a gentle and safe method of balancing the organs and circulating the flow of energy throughout the body using the hands to hold (touch) specific acupressure points. Along with yoga, these practices support and help to bring our bodies back into a state of balance.
Sally works therapeutically one on one, teaches group classes and facilitates courses in Yoga, Chi Touch Balance, Menopause and Vision / Soul Cards.

Yoga
My belief is that any one of any age can do yoga – as long as you can breathe you can do yoga. Yoga differs from other exercises – it creates body and breath awareness, encourages motion, strength, stability and balance, positively affecting the inner and outer body, creating a sense of centredness. Yoga quietens the mind, relaxes and calms the nervous system helping to find a deeper sense of inner peace and happiness. Restorative yoga
Restorative yoga restores and resources your energy. It’s an opportunity to slow down the pace of life, to soothe the nervous system, to encourage mindfulness, deepen self-awareness and awaken a deeper understanding of your own body. It gives you time to discover and re-connect to your own breath – being able to take life in on the in-breath and let go and surrender on the out-breath –this deeply nourishing practice reminds you to take one breath at a time. Prenatal Yoga
Prenatal yoga takes you through gentle, safe poses designed to improve your physical comfort during pregnancy and help place your baby in an ideal position for birth. Mindfulness is part of the practice and can assist to lower your anxiety during pregnancy, cope with sleeplessness and provide you with tools allowing you to feel confident and calm about child birth. It equips you with the knowledge to continue the practice at home in preparation for the birth of your baby. Postnatal Yoga
Post Natal Yoga starts about 6 weeks after the birth of your baby, however gentle pelvic floor exercises are recommended to support and re-build pelvic muscle tone in this time. Group classes are a great way to connect with like-minded women sharing the experience of early mother-hood. During pregnancy, the hormone, relaxin, loosens the joints and ligaments for the upcoming birth. Post Natal Yoga supports the process of re-building muscle tone and strength and providing essential ‘me’ time. Exercise and yoga are known to release stress and anxiety, it can be calming and at the same time, energising, and may also help with post- natal depression. Body Therapy
I work therapeutically with the body through yoga, the holistic therapies of Massage, Reflexology and Chi Touch Balance – a gentle and safe method of balancing the organs and circulating the flow of energy throughout the body using the hands to hold (touch) specific acupressure points. Along with yoga, these practices may support injuries, illness, symptoms of Menopause as well as many other conditions, including stress and anxiety, helping to restore a state of balance. Menopause Workshops
Menopause Retreat Day – a day to explore, understand and celebrate the journey of your Mid-Life. Gain valuable insight about the changes of your body, mind and emotions; learn practical tools for self-care and support for the challenges this time of transition may bring. Sally and Martina, both experienced body practitioners, facilitate this day. Combined, they’ve had years of experience in group facilitation, body work, Chi Touch Balance which includes acupressure point release, organ balances and counselling. Sally is also a Yoga Therapist and Martina, a Journey Therapist and Rite of Passage Facilitator.
Vision / Soul Card Workshops
This is a 3 hour workshop creating Vision Boards and Soul Cards – self-created visual tools to clarify a specific vision, intention or life goal. While Vision Boards are poster size and Soul Cards smaller, they are both a collage of colour, cut-out images, words and phases. They are a powerful method for manifesting and accessing your intuition and dreams and a potent way to reinforce your intentions of what you desire in life; be that in health, career, finances, relationship or spiritual growth. Its an exciting, creative and powerful process to manifest your vision through the symbolic images you choose.
“Sally maintains a high standard of attending to the individual needs of each person attending her classes. There is a strong energy of warmth and support with an almost family-like atmosphere. With each pose Sally encourages focus and mindfulness to help us become attuned to our own bodies. I have benefitted enormously from Sally’s personal style within a group setting.”
“I have been working with Sally for a number of years, both as colleagues and taking part in her classes or receiving one of her wonderful treatments. It is her generosity of heart and spirit as well as her experience and knowledge, which she shares wholeheartedly, that makes the difference in her classes and treatments. I know that I’m in safe hands, whether it is taking part in her deeply relaxing and rejuvenating yoga classes or coming for one of her amazing treatments, which are deeply nourishing and nurturing. Thank you Sally ”
“I have practiced yoga for over twenty years and every yoga teacher is different. I have found Sally’s yoga teaching not only heals my body but the depth of mindfullness expands my knowing of what my body can do. Sally is a teacher who works with focusing on different parts of the body that I didn’t know existed. Most of her yoga is done with the eyes closed shutting out the analytical mind and bringing you back to the total moment of now. The meditation that follows each session has a nebulous depth but it is part of the deep healing of mind, body and spirit. ”
“Working with Sally has changed many areas in my life. All positive & inspirational. Menopause, well she saved my sanity. Sally’s classes are restorative & enjoyable. Thank you so much Sally…..
Kristine”
