Max Therapy’s first store was opened in Knox Shopping Centre in 2004. With elements of ancient Chinese Medicine, we developed treatments to increase the rate of recovery from injury and illness, and to achieve good health and well being, Max Therapy goal was simple, to provide simple, affordable massage therapy to help people gain the health benefits that massage therapy provides.
Our goal is to make Chinese acupressure massage and medicine easily available through our retail stores. After 7 years of establishing our business through trial and testing, we have now grown to 23 stores around Melbourne.
One of the key elements for us in growing Max Therapy has been keeping at the forefront of Chinese acupressure massage and medicine along with western style massage, remedial massage and myotherapy. Towards the end of March 2010, we opened Max Therapy Institute (nationally recognised). This allows us to ensure our franchisees and their staff receive the highest degree of initial and ongoing training.

“Usually I love this place and the service. However today the staff were dodgy. My husband got a cold foot bath and a bad massage and he reckons his feet feel worse than before the massage. He told the lady the water was cold. She said oh. Walked off. Came back. He put up with it.
I got a dodgy one handed massage. I honestly thought the bloke was texting one handed or blowing his nose because he kept sniffing. I asked for someone else twice and finally got someone else. I did not experience maximum therapy. Neither did my husband.”
