Hi I am Mary Mitchell and I established Imbue Massage Therapies in 2013, whilst completing the Certificate in Massage therapy practice at VFA. Today I am a certified remedial massage therapist qualifying from Sage Institute of education. Sage is a training provider at the forefront, delivering advanced and innovative massage training in Australia.
A change of direction inspired me to start a career in alternative healing and holistic health, I have gone from strength to strength operating a very successful practice from a multidisciplinary clinic in Frankston.
As the remedial therapist behind Imbue Massage Therapies it is important to continually learn and update skills necessary to remain successful and operational. This allows for a diverse range of clientele who may benefit from a treatment with us. I have memberships and obligations as a remedial massage therapist with several organizations such as Australian Association of Massage Therapist, Association of Australian Reiki Professionals (AARP), Association of Massage Therapist (AMT), Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA) and more.
Although my interest in healing has been with me for longer than I can remember, my path would lead me into management and leadership roles where I became successful. Eventually it was very clear that my caring and compassionate characteristics were better suited to roles in a healing profession, so I completed a certificate in Family support work at Chisholm Institute and began voluntary work with disadvantage families.
My real Journey begun several years ago, when I became aware of my sensitivity and intuitive powers that accelerated the changed direction. This is what inspired me to study and begin a career in alternative healing and holistic health. Today I operate a very successful practice from a multidisciplinary clinic in Frankston.www.bsah.net.au
Other areas of alternative health I have since acquired is Reflexology, with Kaye Dixon proprietor of Central Springs Massage School 2014, Oncology Massage with Oncology Massage Training (OM)2015 and Reiki level and 1&2 with Sarah Najjar in 2013 -1014. Future studies are advanced diploma in Myotherapy, the Bachelor of Myotherapy and a diploma in yoga.
Initially most clientele who came to see me where gym goers and athletes as I had completed a qualification in Personal Training 2013 at VFA successful trained myself and a small clientele. This has given me a good deal of exposure to a start in massaging these athletes, and gaining confidence and skill working with sports driven clients.
Now I also work very successfully with those who suffer chronic pain and may have a poor quality of life due to poor functioning muscles, tendon, ligaments and bones. Over the long term chronic pain may lead to postural changes that affect the natural alignment of our bodies causing dysfunction, pain, tiredness and depression.
In 2013 I became qualified in Personal Training at VFA, so my early massage experience was mainly with gym goers and athletes.
More recently those who visit us suffer with chronic discomfort and experience a diminished quality of life due to discomfort caused by adhesions, tight muscles, tendon, ligaments and biomechanical changes. Over the long term chronic pain may lead to postural changes that affect the natural alignment of our bodies causing dysfunction, soreness, tiredness and depression.
Pain and discomfort due to various work related stresses and/or injuries, abnormal postural changes may be relieved or completely healed over time with massage and other soft tissue techniques due to increased circulation and the relaxing of muscles, ligaments and tendons initiating a powerful healing as the bones realign along with other soft tissue and settle into natural balance.
We have successfully treated Tennis elbow, arthritis, planta fascists, low back pain and more (refer testimonial page) with the various massage and soft tissue techniques (refer massage page) a treatment plan is developed for each individual client after careful assessments and goal setting are completed. This process along with the intuitive method of gaining information leads clients to gain a positive healing experience that I am told is nurturing to both mind and body improving the quality of life for our clientele.

“Mary is a wonderful therapist! I had neglected my body something terrible with all the busyness of daily work on the computer. She worked tirelessly and skillfully to manipulate my muscles to get things moving again over a couple of sessions. I highly recommend her services and will be referring my business clients to her as a preferred supplier. I cannot state enough the importance of her role in being able to support me to undertake my daily workflow in my business. My mind feels free and muscles more relaxed. I have alot more flow and fluidity in my movement. Thank you Mary!”

“I’d never had a real massage till Marys magic hands found me. Sitting on a forklift 7-8 hrs a day I didn’t realize how much I needed a real massage, especially deep tissue. It felt like my veins had been unblocked and the blood was rushing through me. I felt great for a full week afterwards. Thanks Mary, your a true credit to the massage industry. Extensive knowledge and experience I recommend you to everyone I know. Thank you!”
