Founder and Principal
Tony is a sole practitioner and principal of Jacaranda Accounting.
Tony commenced his accounting career working for Amatil at Acacia Ridge before moving to Head Office in Sydney as a Senior Business Analyst. This gave Tony the opporuntity to combine his interest in accounting and technology.
After working with Deloitte’s on an IT Strategy project at Amatil, Tony joined Deloitte’s Consulting Team. While there, he worked on many interesting projects including the NSW Attorney-General’s Department, NSW Health Department, Queensland Commissioner of Land Tax, Brisbane & Area Water Board, Queensland Rail and Queensland Department of Natural Resources. Deloitte Singapore was successful in a tender to prepare an IT Strategic Plan for the Garuda Indonesia Airways and Tony was offered a position on the team. After presenting the IT Plan, Garuda asked Tony to become an internal Business Adviser to the Garuda Board. In 1998, Tony returned to Australia and later took up a Project Management role at Qantas implementing a major new Fare Audit System.
At the end of the project,Tony decided to return to his accounting origins and took a position in a small tax practice in Clayfield. Soon after, Tony joined Irene Keel in purchasing a practice at Moorooka on the Brisbane Southside. After fifteen enjoyable years, Tony sold his practice to the Power 2 group in December 2014.
He is now operating a small practice from his home. Tony has always had an interest in Self Managed Super and combines it with his interest in technology to use the latest and greatest.
Tony graduated from the University of Queensland with a Commerce Degree (Accounting Major) and a Business Degree (Hospitality Major). He is a Qualified Justice of the Peace (Qld).
