Company History
1972 
MSI Taylor was founded in 1972. Over the years, various Partners joined and today MSI Taylor consists of 7 partners and over 50 staff. We provide a full suite of solutions to small to medium enterprises including Finance, Audit, Self Managed Super Fund and most recently R&D Tax Incentives and Government Grants divisions.
1992 
Originally known as Taylor & Company after partner Allan Taylor, in 1992 we joined the MSI Global Alliance, an association of over 250 medium sized legal and accounting firms in more than 100 countries around the world, and changed our name to MSI Taylor.
What does MSI stand for?
Originally MacIntyre & Co, Chartered Accountants from the UK, identified the need for a truly international capability in both accounting and legal disciplines.  In 1990 they formed MacIntyre Strater International in conjunction with Abels Strater and Partners of Germany.  It has since grown to become an international organisation and MacIntyre Strater International is known today as MSI Global Alliance. For more information on MSI Global Alliance

Michael Purcell CA, B.Bus 
Managing Partner 
Michael joined MSI Taylor as a partner in 1995. He is passionate about helping start ups and is also our Franchising expert. One of his key strengths is the ability to explain the ‘how and why’ to his clients. With in excess of 30 years experience, and a particular focus on small and medium business, he has developed a deep understanding of their needs.

Partner 
Matthew Harris has been in public practice since 1987. He prides himself in being so much more than just a number cruncher. He really gets involved in understanding a business by visiting their premises, talking to their staff and seeing their processes and procedures in action.
He doesn’t see himself as a consultant or external adviser, but more as a partner of that particular business. He strongly believes that it is only once you’ve become a part of the team and experience what they are feeling, that you really get an understanding of your client and their business.
Robert Moore B.Bus FIPA CTA 
Partner 
Robert has been in public practice since 1991 and joined MSI Taylor as a partner in July, 2012.
Prior to joining MSI Taylor, he operated his own accounting firm for 14 years. He established this practice from the ground up, which has provided him with the “hands on” skills to relate well and provide advice to SMEs, having worn all the hats himself. Not necessarily in what to do, but more in what to avoid, as avoiding mistakes can be just as beneficial.
Sean Hegarty CPA B.Comm 
Partner 
Sean joined MSI Taylor in December 1995 as a graduate accountant following completion of a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Southern Queensland. He became a Partner of the firm in December, 2013
Sean specialises in accounting, taxation and business performance and monitoring for a wide variety of small to medium enterprises.
Raj Prabhu B.Com, CPA 
Partner – Audit 
Raj joined MSI Taylor in 2007 as an Audit Manager of the firm. He was appointed Audit Partner in 2008.
His Audit expertise spans 25 years, with almost 15 years in an Audit Manager’s role. Raj’s background includes audit positions both in Australia and abroad and 3 years as a lecturer at the University of Mumbai. He has also served as a member on the panel of examiners of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Peter O’Callaghan CFP Dip FP, M Fin Serv Law JP (Qual) 
Director – Financial Planning 
Peter is a Sub Authorised Representative 244915 of MSI Taylor Wealth Management Ltd.

Mark Connolly B.Bus

Mark is a Credit Representative of Centrepoint Alliance Ltd
Mark joined MSI Taylor in 2010 and has over 30 years experience in the Finance Industry.
It is this experience that provides him with an insight into numerous industries, varying economic conditions and demographics. As a Bank Manager & Business Owner, Mark fully understands the issues facing business owners trying to operate their businesses successfully and profitably.
