Magnus’s Directors met in unusual circumstances – on a train after a professional development seminar in Brisbane’s CBD. Eventually this chance encounter lead to discussions that revealed a shared passion to build a firm that provided quality outcomes to small and medium business and eliminated the classical issues that seemed to pervade the profession – poor communication and customer service, reactive and rear view advice amongst others.

“It’s not often in life – particularly in business dealings I find – that it would take more than a few lines to sum up how an organisation has ‘stacked up’ – certainly not in the positive column anyhow.

On a personal level, Chris and I experienced an upheaval in our family life recently which saw our son Thomas become a paraplegic. Warren and his lovely wife Cathy stepped up to help oversee the setting up of a charity, and a hugely successful fundraising event which now sees Tom in the USA for treatment to hopefully see him walk down the aisle in eighteen months time with his fiance, Maddie.
Shane and Warren also kindly donated a package of their services as an item for auction at the charity event, and the Magnus Group continue to assist pro bono with the administration of this entity.
I could go on – indeed I feel I have only scratched the surface in the few lines on this page – suffice to say however, I would have no hesitation in recommending the services of these fine people to anyone who was seeking competent, professional advice, and personal service on a level most organisations could only wish to aspire to.
