OUR COMPANY
The Firm was established in March, 1993 with a goal to provide Clients with quality service with high ethical standards to ensure compliance with current Australian legislation.
We are genuinely interested in our Clients’ businesses and our aim is to assist Clients achieve their personal financial goals. We are cognisant of the trust Clients place in our hands and we endeavour to perform to the best of our ability, never betraying that trust.
We have a broad range of clients involved in various industries and businesses as well as individuals with portfolios of various equity and property investments. We also attend to the administration of clients’ self managed superannuation funds.
Development of staff is considered vital to the success of the practice. Our Staff regularly attend seminars and presentations to keep abreast of our changing environment. Every opportunity is afforded staff to study further with their professional education.
Our People
Gordon Appleby (Partner)
Gordon has over 35 years experience as a Chartered Accountant with 22 years valuable experience and training with the large international firms before starting his own practice in 1993. With considerable experience gained, he is well positioned to advise across many industries on the intricacies of commencing and operating a small business by providing practical financial and taxation advice to Clients.
Leona Bennett (Associate) 
Leona has over 25 years experience as a Chartered Accountant, working with small to medium sized businesses. With valuable experience gained with international firms in Sydney and Canada, she commenced working at Gordon Appleby & Co in 1998. Leona has extensive experience in a variety of industries and an excellent understanding of the day to day operations and complexities of running a small business, which enables her to provide practical and useful advice.

We are supported by our experienced team of accountants and support staff including Debra Marwedel, Grace Zhu, Aiden Weir and Ashlea Mathieson all of whom are dedicated to providing you with quality service.
