Our Team
John Freame
John has over 20 years experience providing tax and accounting advice to small to medium sized businesses.  He started with a rural firm before moving to Sydney to complete his CA designation, becoming a Chartered Accountant in 1998.
John has worked for several accounting firms since then from a small firm in Perth to a second tier firm here on the Gold Coast and a brief stint in commercial accounting in Dublin.  The experience John has gained working in these roles allows him to provide practical business, structuring and tax planning advice.
John joined Brown & Benson Accountants as a director in 2008.  Since then he has fostered a team approach within the firm to ensure that client’s needs are always met in a timely and reliable manner.
Paul Shannon 
Joining the firm in 2011 from HLB Mann Judd, Paul now extends his expertise to assist clients with their business and accounting requirements across a broad range of business styles and industries.
He has developed strong business relationships with his clients from his thorough approach and believes regular ongoing communication with his clients is the key to success.
With a particular focus in property, management rights, tourism and hospitality, Paul’s industry knowledge is invaluable.
