What We Do
Two of a Kind
Tim and Barbara Varga, proprietors of Salon VIP, met in Budapest Hungary many years ago and it was a case of love at first sight. They have a son and a grandson to carry on the family name.
They base their lives on the philosophy of ‘Live and let live; there is plenty for everyone; love is the connecting bond between humans’. In business, the Varga’s are highly respected for their integrity and fairness. 
Barbara Varga, hairstylist, colour technician and long hair specialist. With years of experience behind her, Barbara travelled the world with hairdressing. Originally from Europe, Barbara worked in Hungary, Italy, Austria, Sydney and for many years now, on the Gold Coast.
She has worked in the television industry including Channel 7’s Sons and Daughters and celebrity appearance acts. She has created hair shows beyond belief.
2011 saw Barbara at the World Hairdressing Championships in Paris and in Milan where she was stylist for a renowned Milan fashion magazine.
Barbara was in Sydney in June 2012 to introduce one of the most powerful tools for the hair industry to create ‘fashion without limit‘ – the ‘8 Hair System’.
November 2014 saw her in Denmark for the HairContrast and ConnectingHair conference, showcasing the latest in hair extensions.
In June 2016 Barbara will proudly present the new collection of hair products and extensions from Denmark at the Melbourne Hair Expo.
Her artistry is unique in todays hairdressing, combining good old fashion work with modern art.
Barbara has also had the honour of being nominated twice for the prestigious Business Woman of the Year Award.
Salon VIP is located at the old Sundale Shopping Centre now known as Shores on Brighton.
