I already had a quote that seemed high from a plumber I’d used a lot and trusted who came and inspected while doing some other work for us, John from Speedy was the only plumber I found to give me a fixed competing quote over the phone, at a far better price, he arrived the same day, brought a slightly better unit than he quoted (same brand and size as quoted), did a very tidy job and charged me exactly what he quoted on the phone. Can’t complain. I have read some of the negative reviews and based on Johns great attitude and work ethic today I would be very surprised if he’s not there to help if I have any problems with the unit. Based on my experience today I would recommend Speedy on price, speed, quality of work and attitude.”</p>
<p>“When the hot water system or fittings fails within warranty periods, Speedy Hot Water are very speedy at fobbing you of by getting the customer to call the suppliers of the parts.</p>
<p>Firstly the customer should not have to deal with the suppliers and secondly, the customer should not have to figure out what part is faulty to decide which supplier to contact.</p>
<p>My experience was that I called the wrong supplier, as I was left to figure out if it was a leaking hot water valve or leaking cold water valve.</p>
<p>Of course not being a plumber, I made the wrong decision (apparently) and contacted the supplier that fixes hot water valves.</p>
<p>I was left with a hefty call out fee that Speedy Hot Water have since refused to refund.</p>
<p>The point is Speedy Hot Water should have came to site and determined what the the fault was that was causing the leaking water and they should have contacted the supplier themselves. The customer should not be out of pocket for a hot water installation where all components were still within the various warranty periods.”</p>
