“I too also purchased a voucher and will not be going back (I didn’t even recive the return discount, not that I would use it) The place was empty and I was their only client (so not like was so busy couldn’t do a proper job), Was a nice enough but doesnt have any hairdressing skills. I booked in for the full head of foils, I had longer hair and had to pay an extra $30 ontop of he voucher. It wasn’t really a full head of foils more 3/4, it also felt like they put no treatment or even conditioner through my hair, as it was so dry and brittle once they had finished with it. Also I didn’t ask for a fancy hair cut, just for them to cut a few inches off, tidy it up and get rid of any spilt ends. Literally grabbed one chunk at the back and “chop chop” then one chunck from the other side “chop chop” did not section it at all… and then blow dried it, again putting no product in it at all. I wasn’t even sure they were finished as it didn’t like like they had cut anything u could still clearly see split ends. I didn’t bother telling them because if they couldn’t see what a bad job they had done I didn’t want them re attempting to cut it again. Once I’d left I went to see my mother at work, also agreed it looked like my hair haden’t been touched and commented on how dry it looked, she also said she could see where the new colour started in comparison with the older colour. A $39 voucher turned into $130 having to go buy a treatment then getting another hair dresser to re cut my hair. She also commented on how the foils weren’t all they way through my hair. I should have just stuck with my normal hair dressers I will never ever go back to kami Gata again, and I’m glad I only paid them 69$ I would have lost it if I paid full price, either that or cried I wouldn’t even give this place half a star, put I had to give it some kind of a rating to post a comment ”
“I won’t be going back there again. Even though I had a voucher and hence a discount, I will have to go elsewhere in a couple of weeks to see if they can recut my hair back into a decent style. First, despite that I booked in for the ‘first’ appointment of the morning and was told that would be 9am, I arrived to see she was starting a mans haircut and was told I’d made a mistake and that I should come back in 15 minutes. I did so, but I was still kept waiting another 5 minutes. Her manner was very casual, she left me with wet hair over the basin whilst she did another entire cut and blow-wave (sore neck and cold), then the cutting was such that I could have done better myself. She didn’t section my hair for layering and she didn’t seem to be cutting any layers other than the full length for the bottom layer, and then one more level for the top layer. I didn’t ask for a mullet!!! Apart from not protecting my face & neck from the colour, and therefore I left looking like I’d suffered bruising in a car accident; the colour wasn’t a bad match on the regrowth. I definitely won’t be going back there for the discounted ‘second visit’.”
“Not a good experience. There is no customer service ( Tabatha is badly needed there as I wasn’t encouraged to come back) Didn’t do my hair as I asked and I had to bring to her notice that my hair was wet underneath. Glad I had a voucher as I would not have wanted to pay full price.”
“Just like to say a huge thank you to all the girls at Kami-gata, I was visiting family and in much need for a cut and colour and I saw this hairdresser going past. I was thrilled they could fit me in and couldn’t be more accommodating from the moment I walked in. I’m so happy with the colour (it’s so rich and shiny)!
