What is Cosmetic Acupuncture?
Cosmetic Acupuncture is often termed, Facial Rejuvenation or Acupuncture Facelift. It is an effective, non-surgical treatment to reduce the signs of the aging process. Cosmetic Acupuncture is based on the principles of Traditional Oriental Medicine. The procedure involves the insertion of very thin sterile disposable needles into specific points on the face and body. This superficial insertion on the face improves the circulation of energy (Chi) and blood to the face, nourishing, hydrating and toning the skin for a healthy, glowing revitalised complexion. “A 1996 report in the lnternational Journal of Clinical Acupuncture reported that among 300 cases treated with Cosmetic Acupuncture. 90% had marked effects with I course of treatment. The effects include: The skin becomes delicate, improvement of elasticity of facial muscles, ruddier complexion and overall rejuvenation.”

Why choose Cosmetic Acupuncture over a Surgical Facelift?
Cosmetic Acupuncture is not a replacement for cosmetic surgery, however it is an excellent natural alternative. It is safe, virtually painless and has no side effects or risk of disfigurement (slight bruising can occasionally occur).
What is the course of treatment?
The Facial Rejuvenation Program consists of 12 sessions. Initially 2 sessions per week for 3 weeks, then 1 session per week for 6 weeks for optimal results. Each session lasts 30-45 minutes. Individuals will respond differently to the Rejuvenation Program depending on their age and lifestyle. Visible improvements will be noticeable after 6 -7 sessions. After each session of Cosmetic Acupuncture, Current Therapy is applied to specific areas to augment the effectiveness of needle acupuncture.
