SERVICES
Blocked Drains / Drain Cleaning Peake Plumbing specialises in blocked sewer drains, toilet drains, shower drains, basin drains and sink drains.
Blocked drains can create an unhygienic mess that requires urgent attention. Peake Plumbing is available 24 hours/7 days a week to attend to any emergency blocked drains.
A blocked sewer drain can be a major problem as it is commonly the cause of some or all of the fixtures in the house being obstructed. It can also be unhygienic as it may flow out from the overflow gully above ground causing an unpleasant odour.
Common causes of blocked drains are:
Tree roots; Food and fats from sinks; and Objects not suitable to go down drains. Options to clear blocked drains include:
Plunging; Sanisnake; Roto Rooter; High pressure jet clean
Blocked Toilets Blocked toilets can be caused by many different scenarios. When attending to a blocked toilet, it is best to plunge first as occasionally it may simply be excess toilet paper and plunging is the most cost efficient method.
However, a toilet may be blocked as a result of an obstruction further down the line, most likely tree roots. We would then have to locate the inspection point, which is generally buried underground, and use either a roto rooter/electric eel or an even better option would be to use our 5000 PSI high pressure jetter.
We also have the option to inspect the drain with a CCTV drain camera to ensure all roots have been cleared and no further blockages exist.

We will endeavour to replace the system the same day as we understand how important it is to have hot water up and running.

24/7 Plumbing Emergencies Peake Plumbing is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to attend to any plumbing emergencies. Call 0402 349 817.
Our emergency plumbing service includes:
Hot water systems; Burst pipes; Blocked toilets or drains; Leaking toilets; Dripping taps; and more
Electric Eel/Roto Rooter The Rigid Electric Eel (Roto Rooter) is a drain unblocking machine which can be inserted into 100mm drains and has a cutting head to suit each specific blockage. The coils or rods spin rapidly and cut/remove most obstructions. This is an effective method for removing tree roots.
Another alternative which can produce even better results is our high pressure jetter.

Taps and Mixers Replacement If you have tired, old taps or require a new sink or basin mixer, or have tried fixing you dripping tap, Peake Plumbing carries a range of modern taps and mixers to suit your taste and budget.
This will save you time and effort in trying to pick a product from plumbing suppliers. Or if you prefer to choose your own, we would be happy to install it for you.
Burst Water Pipe If you have a suspected burst pipe, the first thing to do is turn your mains water supply off (located somewhere out the front of the property) or the isolation tap to the hot water unit.
If the fault is on the hot water line, keeping the mains on will allow you to still have cold water. Then call Peake Plumbing on 0402 349 817 and we will endeavour to fix the problem asap.
Peake Plumbing carries equipment required to repair almost all burst pipes. If we cannot locate the leak, we can arrange specialised services from a leak detection expert.
If you have a suspected burst pipe then you can download this leak allowance form from the Water Corporation, this will allow you to claim back part of the cost for the amount of wasted water you have lost. Peake Plumbing is licenced and able to complete the form.
Leaking Toilet Repairs Leaking toilets can cause a great deal of water waste and can go unnoticed for many months. The signs of a leaking toilet include:
Stain on the back of the toilet bowl; Occasional ”hiss” sound from float valve; and Slight dripping noise coming from cistern. There are usually two easy steps to repair a leaking toilet:
Replace outlet washer; and Replace float valve. Peake Plumbing carries almost all parts on board our vehicle required to service a leaking toilet. It is unlikely that a cistern will need replacing. However, if this is necessary we can replace some cisterns on the spot.
Water leaking onto toilet floor?
Generally, a leak from a toilet onto the floor is quick and easy for a licensed plumber to fix. The four main things to look for on a leaking toilet are:
Rubber seal on flush pipe (generally cracked); Rubber seal around the toilet waste pipe either coming from the wall of from the ground; Mini stop tap may be dripping from the handle which indicates rubber o-ring is faulty; Nuts on either flexi hose or copper pipe from tap to cistern.
