Alex Rtshiladze is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with 31 years of clinical experience. Alex’s approach is personal and focused on establishing the correct diagnosis through sound clinical reasoning and utilising proven hands-on treatments. Alex has completed a post graduate course in the treatment of joints and muscles by hands-on therapy. This training requires rigorous diagnostics to identify the cause of the problem. Treatments are evidence based where research is available.

Alex completed his Bachelor of Science at The University of Sydney in 1975. He then went on to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 1978. Following this, Alex worked in a number of clinical posts within NSW Public Hospitals including Sydney Hospital and Concord Hospital. He then went on to complete post graduate training in Manipulative Therapy in 1984. This sub-specialty of physiotherapy places an emphasis on clinical reasoning, diagnostics and hands-on therapy. Alex returned to the Public Hospital System where he held a number of clinical and administrative posts.

In 1987 Alex began work within the Sutherland Shire. In 1994 he became a principal partner in a large Manipulative Physiotherapy practice. Over the next 22 years Alex continued to treat and serve the Sutherland Shire community through his work.

Alex has been actively involved in Physiotherapy education. He has served as a clinical unit supervisor, taught graduate physiotherapists about the treatment of spinal disorders and has been involved in the continuing education program for physiotherapists at Sutherland Hospital.

Alex has been sought as an expert consultant on a number of occasions. He was an appointed WorkCover NSW Consultant.

As of January 2016 Alex has moved to a new solo practice located in Caringbah. He hopes that through Alex Rtshiladze Physiotherapy he can continue to provide outstanding personal care for his patients.
