The Founder 

After starting her career as a makeup artist, Alison Jade has become one of Australia’s top brow specialists. Over the past decade her talents as an eyebrow stylist have grown to near cult status in Western Australia and over east, with her Cottesloe salon becoming a mecca for those seeking perfectly tailored and groomed eyebrows.

The Alison Jade brand, launched in 2007, has grown steadily to include the popular mineral makeup line sold worldwide via the e-boutique and select stockists nationally. Sourced from nature and fused with science to protect, correct and beautify skin without causing irritation, Alison Jade Cosmetics provides a natural, chemical-free beauty solution. The Alison Jade range is designed to enhance the skillful strokes of make-up artists everywhere, giving customers and consumers access to the very best colours, shades and textures the cosmetics industry has to offer.

The wide selection of foundations, powders, primers, mascara, pencils, creams, glosses and brushes, exhibit powerful, light-reflective properties that make flaws and imperfections practically invisible. Virtually weightless, the Alison Jade collection allows skin to “breathe” freely while providing protection from harmful chemicals and natural elements that give skin a dull and aged texture.

Alison continues to be in demand as a makeup artist in Perth as well as travelling frequently to collaborate on a variety of different projects. She has worked with Australian and visiting celebrities including Shanina Shaik, Lindy Klim, Bambi Norwood Blyth, Samara Weaving, Samantha Jade and models Brooke Hogan and Nikki Phillips to name a few. Her work has been seen in editorials in Vogue Italia, STM and L’Officiel.

In recent years Alison has travelled frequently to Sydney, Paris and Hong Kong to collaborate with Australian couture designer Bowie Wong as the official makeup sponsor for his runway shows. Other recent highlights have included projects with photographer Thom Kerr, Miss Universe Australia, the Betts ‘Wanderlust’ Campaign in Bali, Polo in the Valley and Megan Hess.

In 2016 Alison Jade Cosmetics announced an official partnership with Fashion Palette NYC and Dubai which will see Alison travel first to New York for Fashion Week, Bridal Week as the Makeup Director for Fashion Palette runway shows. ‘My brows are so SO dark, patchy yet too thick and very uneven – way too dark especially considering I asked my stylist for a medium tint. She said she disagreed with my choice and thought a dark tint would be much better for my hair and skin tone (and proceeded to dye them using dark tint). How wrong she was – my brows are much too dark and too close together… I seriously look like Bert from Bert and Ernie on Sesame Street. The girls were super friendly so I feel bad writing this… but Alison, you need to train your staff better or actually do customers’ brows yourself.”

“Won’t return. Very unhappy with alison’s work and customer service in particular. I had the feather touch tattoo done by alison herself. On both visits (initial and touch up) I mentioned to her my brows were still uneven but both times it was not corrected. Months later I am having to fill in my brows daily as they are not only uneven but also patchy. Terrible work dont waste your money here!”

“Appalling. I visited this salon for some time and never felt truly comfortable or taken care of. My eyebrows ended up incredibly uneven giving me a Dr Evilish type brow… Not pretty! When I pointed this out to the principle she said I was unconsciously raising my brow! So disappointing, I was traveling hours to get to the salon as well. Unless you are a WAG or from the Cottosloe set expect to be treated with indifference bordering on disdain. I have now found an amazing girl who spends a full hour on your brow for your first visit and 30 minutes thereafter, a far cry from the 10 min speed wax you get at Alison Jade. Over priced, over rated, poor service, unprofessional, snobby…. Go else where!”
