Dr. Justine McDermott
B.Sc (Chiro) M Chiro, AK, NET
Originally from Forster, NSW Justine is our principal Chiropractor and mother of two. A dedicated family woman and sports enthusiast, Justine takes special interest in treating children of all ages. Her work with children using methods such as Retained Neonatal Reflexes, Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy sets her apart as a health champion for kids. She is also a certified Applied Kinesiologist, NET and TBM practitioner. Justine works out of all of our practices.
Dr. Sheila Macy
B.Sc (Chiro) M Chiro, Musculoskeletal Acupuncture
With over 12 years of experience, Sheila brings a wealth of knowledge and professional expertise to Back to Balance. Sheila incorporates musculoskeletal acupuncture into her treatments to further enhance patient outcomes with care and making her a popular and clever choice for sufferers of arthritis, chronic pain, sciatica and other conditions her methods are proven to assist with.

May joins Back to Balance bringing with her over 13 years of clinical chiropractic experience. As mother of three, she is passionate about helping families achieve optimal health and wellbeing. Her wide range of skills include combining traditional adjusting techniques with components of Applied Kinesiology, Sacro Occipital Technic (SOT), Musculoskeletal Acupuncture and Webster’s Technique for expectant mum’s.
Dr. Allison French
D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic)
Allison was trained in California, USA where she is originally from. Her passion for helping people to reach their health goals and maintain them throughout life has lead her to be an expert in several specialty areas such Applying the concepts of Bio Geometric Integration (BGI), Cranial Work, Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), Toggle and Structural adjusting. She also uses Retained Neonatal Reflexes (RNR) for kids (and stressed adults!) and Webster technique for pregnant women.
Dr. Peter Swift

With over 7 years under his belt, Peter is passionate about helping people of all ages take control of their body and health. As a registered Chirooractor, certified Applied Kinesiology and experienced practitioner of Retained Neonatal Reflexes (RNR). Peter takes a holistic approach to health, recognising the significance of structure, nutrition, toxicity, emotional stress, and day-to-day lifestyle choices in restoring wellbeing, preventing future illness and maximising performance.
Dr. Charles Williams
B.Sc (Chiro), Bchiro (dist), Registered N.O.T Practitioner
Originally from Perth, Charles is a certified Neural Organisational Technique (NOT) practitioner working out of both our Casula and Woolooware clinics. A keen tennis player and cricketer, Charles and enjoys treating a range of musculoskeletal issues and loves treating children suffering from many types of conditions. His primary focus is allowing your body to achieve is maximum potential through healing at the root of the cause.
Dr. Claire Hogan
B.SC (BioMed) M Chiro
Claire graduated from Macquarie University Sydney in 2001, and with 15 years under her belt including postgraduate studies in Paediatric and Prenatal Chiropractic she has a keen interest with working with children and families. Her extensive experience with kids and mothers during pre and post natal care makes her popular among families. Clair established Clair Hogan Family Chiropractic in 2007. Prior to this she worked in Camden for 6 years and also in Sydney CBD.

Cherie is an enthusiastic Chiropractor with a passion for treating children. She has previously been involved in the Science Academy Holiday Camp, enlightening young kids of Sydney with her extensive knowledge of the human body. Her unique ability to connect to patients of all ages with her bright personality and passionate attitude is her strength. Her aim is to help all of her varied patients reach their health lifestyle goals so they can live every day with pain free movement and the energy they need to accomplish everything their heart desires.
Vanessa De Santi
BASI Pilates Mat Certified Instructor
With over 25 years in the dance and fitness industry, Vanessa is fully certified in Body Arts & Science International Pilates mat work. She has had the opportunity to dance professionally in Australia, America and Europe and is very passionate about teaching Pilates, having seen firsthand the huge success enjoyed by many clients. Vanessa enjoys working with Pilates in women’s health and restoring mothers back to full strength after pregnancy and birth.
Diana Jovanovic
Adv Dip Nut Med, BHSci (Nut Med)
Diana is a dedicated nutritionist who is passionate about using ‘Food as Medicine’. Nutritional medicine uses a very holistic approach, the aim is not only to treat the symptoms but search for the causative factors in order to prevent illness. There is no one-size-fits-all nutritional solution, Diana individualises options to maximise health and restore healing to the body. She believes vitality and beauty come from within and good nutrition is the basis of everything.
Shannon Townsend
B.HlthSc (Sp&ExSc) M ClinExPhys AEP
Shannon is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a specialised background in Scoliosis exercise rehabilitation, postural issues and lower back problems. She creates exercise rehabilitation programs for a range of chronic conditions and musculoskeletal injuries to help prevent or manage your condition and assist in restoring optimal physical function. Before completing her Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology, she worked in the Fitness Industry for 10 years and was a National level Swimmer, which helped her develop a passion for helping people improve their health and fitness, and maximise their quality of life.
Leanne Formica
Remedial Massage Therapist, Aromatherapist. Dip RM, Dip HS, Cert IV Aroma
Leanne has developed a wealth of experience working as a remedial massage therapist for over 17 years. She has been heavily involved in training other therapists and the development of both the remedial massage and aromatherapy courses at TAFE. Now she is dedicated to working with people to gain optimal health through a variety of techniques including sports massage, remedial massage, thermal stone therapy and aromatherapy. She specialises in pregnancy massage.

With over 15 years experience in nursing, Pauline’s gentle approach to massage therapy has lead her to working with all kinds of patients including expectant mothers, sporting entusiasts and those requiring remedial massage. She has been massaging people from all walks of life for over 8 years in the shire region.

Jo is an exceptionally talented operations manager, bringing order, reliable systems and structured processes to each of our clinics, providing an efficient and effective service to each of our patients. Jo’s dedication has enabled us to continually improve the Back to Balance experience.

Hayley Jackson
Remedial Massage Therapist, Dip. Fitness
Hayley brings with her 3 years experience as a massage therapist and an extensive background in fitness. Her previous work as a fitness instructor awards her an unparalleled understanding of the body, enabling her to supplement her sessions with valuable exercise advice for each of her patients. She has a keen interest remedial/deep tissue massage, sports massage and myofascial work.
