“I won’t be going back! I purchased a Groupon for a cut, treatment and blow dry. The lady would of had me leave after the trim and not even dried it. She asked if I just wanted it half dried. NO! I asked for it to be fully dried and it was just blasted not even blow dried as per the offer. It just looked like a bushy mess which I could of done better myself . I had to ask for it to be straightened. I was then charged an extra 20 when I left because my hair goes passed my shoulders. How can that make a difference when I had no colour!! I didn’t even receive my treatment. Definitely not marketing through Groupon for repeat business!!! Cut seems to be ok and looked ok once straighted, but it just left me with a bad taste. I expect to leave a salon having beautiful hair without having to ask.”

“Got half a head of foils and cut. To start with we were there for 4.5 almost 5 hours for this service; ridiculous!

The hairdresser, Ruby, was friendly but just doesn’t stop talking, which meant she forgets what color she needs to do for the foils. At the end of the service I needed to leave straight away as I had my 6 year old boy with me who had been very good but was understandably over it! Put it this way I told the hairdresser not to bother drying or styling my hair as it was just going to take longer!

It wasn’t until I got home that I had a proper look at the foils and found they looked absolutely terrible. Ruby had not put the foils in correctly and had not arranged the placement correctly. When I went to another hairdressers they explained exactly why it was done incorrectly and how inexperienced she was to have done it this way.

I will certainly not be going back and I would not recommend this salon to anyone!”

“It seems Wavelengths has had a staff and management re-shuffle. . .the new owner, Ruby is just lovely! She took her time to listen to exactly what I was wanting and produced a pretty impressive style & blow-dry to suit me. I was welcomed with the (expected) cup of tea/water and some magazines. A positive, well-educated young lady, who is clearly trying to re-start a new business energy under a recognised, older name. Apparently a few changes will be introduced over the next few months, including fresh products and staff attitudes. (I’ve been to wavelengths in the past, and the energy was a little stagnant- not to mention, the actual staff hair styles were seriously out of date)! I will definitely give the new crew another go in the future. Parking is within only a few meters around the corner of the actual complex. Perfectly positioned across from the Banyo railway station.”

“Got a colour and cut. Colour was good. Cut was horrible – my fringe was cut WHILE IT WAS WET – when it dried it was waaaaay too short and I couldn’t even pin it back/up. Staff were arguing each other – very awkward experience. I won’t go back.”
