Manly West Dog Grooming Studio was established in 2015 after the success of our first salon in Redland Bay and the overwhelming response to our Mobile Division.

Our services became more popular throughout areas such as Manly, Wynnum, Lota, Thorneside, Gumdale, Ransome, Tingalpa and Hemmant.

To keep up with the demand for a professional and experienced dog grooming service in those areas we opened our next Barkin Beautiful Dog Grooming Studio central to all of these suburbs.

We are now opposite the well-known local Corner House, which is situated on the corner of Preston Road and Worthing Street with car parks at our front door for easy drop off and pick up.

Our Dog Grooming Studio offers professional and experienced service with groomers who specialise in all breeds of dogs and breed specific show clips, as well as easy basic short summer shave offs and simple Hydro Bathing.

Barkin Beautiful Groomers are also trained in creative grooming which includes colouring and Asian Fusion grooming.

It can be hard to leave your beloved pet in the hands of other people, but rest assured we only have their best interests at heart.

Holding them at the salon for as little time as possible is one of the ways we try to reduce both yours and your pets’ stress levels.

Apart from all this, we have learnt over the years that a calm, quick drop-off is better for your dogs’ nerves.

If you are nervous, your pet will pick up on and react to that energy, shaking and making a fuss when really they actually like being groomed!

Another big change Barkin Beautiful has made compared to other salons is our staggered appointments schedule.

Rather than 8am drop-offs and 5pm pick-ups, we fill the day with 1-3 hour appointments (times vary according to grooming needs), which lowers the number of dogs that come in at once.

This creates a calmer, quieter environment from everyone and a more one-on-one grooming experience for your dog.

Generally we will have you dog groomed and ready for pick up within a 4 hour period.

We try not to have them any longer as they will want to see you and show off their new look! Although in some special cases we can offer for them to stay with us to be minded the whole day, provided it is understood that a day care fee of $25 will be applied.

Subsequently, if you can’t make it and we must hold your dog for longer than 4 hours without warning, this fee will apply on top of grooming costs.

Taking care of your pet is our top priority and ensuring their comfort for hours at a time can distract from our dog grooming work.

NO nasty chokers are used throughout our salons as they can cause injury, and your pets are kept from direct contact with other dogs which may make your dog feel insecure or threatened.

Each dog is safely secured on their individual grooming table. Dogs in our care are kept in the safety of their own private crate where they feel safe from dogs they don’t know and can enjoy a comfort place to ease any nerves before starting their grooming and while waiting for their owners to collect them once they’re finished.

We do not like to hold dogs all day as they become restless! We like to keep their grooming appointments to a 3-hour period (4 hours maximum during busy times), for a stress free and positive experience for all.

Being so central to Manly West Shopping centre we have doctors, chemists, takeaway stores and bakeries in walking distance, as well as other fantastic restaurants and beautiful waterfront parks and esplanades.

Barkin Beautiful is the perfect place to bring your dog as you check off your to-do list, whether that is grocery shopping, doctors’ appointments or catching up with friends at the amazing ‘ZEN Coffee House’ right next door, with your dog being pampered in our care.

Our Dog Hydro Bath service also caters to the surrounding suburbs of our Manly Studio. We are also at the Manly Creative Markets every sunny Sunday with great market specials and a beautiful set up with heated clean water and comfy chairs under the Big Moreton Bay Fig Tree near the Manly Public pool. It makes a great day out for both dogs and their families!
