BLOCKED DRAINS

Equipped with the latest in drain cleaning technology including high-pressure sewer jetters, CCTV drain cameras and Sonde locators, finding and clearing your blockages is only a phone call away.

COMMON CAUSES OF BLOCKAGES:

Foreign Object blockage
Drains can block up due to a buildup of foreign objects like toilet paper and grease, in most cases these types of blockages can be fixed using a simple plunger or drain rod.
Tree Root Invasion

Tree roots are a drains worst nightmare, once they make their way into the drain they will keep growing and growing unless the problem is addressed.

In most of the tree root blockages, Barnes Plumbing has come across, the tree roots need to be cut using a high-pressure stream of water using a ‘Sewer Jetter’.

Once the roots have been removed, we can either set our client up on a preventative maintenance schedule and come back every 6 months or so. Or for a complete fix sometimes the drains may need to be replaced.

Broken/Cracked Pipe
Things like the movement of the ground, landscaping, tree roots or deterioration of pipework may cause a break in a pipe if so Barnes Plumbing will be able to locate the exact position of the break and either excavate up and replace the pipe or re-line the pipe from the inside (trenchless repair).
