Sure most of them do a decent job, but I’ve always felt like they’re looking for any excuse to charge more. 12 months after a new house build when a part installed by the builder’s plumber failed due to high mains pressure, Bartlett installed a pressure limiting valve for me and charged for materials, time and a call out fee. I showed him 3 places to choose from to install it, none ideal. Rather than look at it and say how tricky and costly it would be, he got on with the job and said matter of factly at the end that he’d never installed one on a slope before.”

“Had a leaking shower-head, called Bartlett Plumbing and got it fixed on the day very quickly! They redid and greased the shower tap where it was leaking, so the tap is also much easier to turn.
