We provide a relaxed environment and the artistic drive to make your tattoo the best design possible. Wether it’s your first tattoo or adding to your body suit our artists are more than capable of your design requirements.

We cater for all styles of tattooing, Traditional, script, oriental, portraits, realism etc. Walk ins are welcome everyday but appointments preffered for custom tattoo work. We are more than happy to give you a free consultation with one of our artists to discuss your ideas and start putting your thoughts onto paper (then skin!).

Walk in tattoos are also available for smaller pieces but it’s best to give us a call ahead just in case. We at Base 9 tattoos can create some beautiful portrait tattoos for you to remember you loved ones or be inspired by your idols. Chris is our resident portrait artist and consultations are free. Generally a portrait varies from 2 and a half to 5 hours depending on size and detail etc. The photo is one of the key elements to receiving a quality and accurate portrait, the better quality the photo the better quality the tattoo.
Aftercare

How do I care for my new tattoo?
The initial aftercare of your new tattoo is important to the final outcome of your healed tattoo. Just follow these simple steps and you should have no problems with your new tattoo. -1 hour after being tattooed, remove bandage, wash the tattoo in clean, warm running water using mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.
Do not rub pick or scratch at a new tattoo as this will slow healing time and may lead to secondary infections and affect the quality of the tattoo. Do not re-apply bandage. Do not swim or soak in chlorinated or salt water until healed. -Only use recommended creams for the tattoo and do not over apply.
When you feel the tattoo drying out apply cream and massage in to keep the tattoo slightly moist.
– Make sure your hands are clean before applying aftercare. – Keep your new tattoo out of the sun. – Keep the tattoo clean from dirt, grime etc. – Do not use an exessive amount of cream. Return to Base 9 Tattoos if having any problems or concerns with your new tattoo.
