Treatment rooms

We have a dedicated room for massage and another for skin care, both equipped with our wide range of professional products so we can tailor the right treatment for your needs.

We use heated powerlift beds and provide disposable cover sheets and clean towels for each session to ensure your experience is pleasurable, comfortable and to the utmost hygene.

Phone Policy

For your benefit and enjoyment of the treatment, please turn off your mobile phone before starting your treatment.

Consultations

A consultation is complimentary to ensure the treatments or the products are what you really need. If you do not wish to purchase or have the treatment after your consultation, there is a low rate of $60 consultation charge.

Health Contraindications

You should inform us of any symptoms or health conditions before the treatment. A consultation card will be provided to you, you must provide all relevant details to us.

Booking Requirements

All treatments are catered to the individual. It is a one‐on‐one treatment. Therefore, booking is absolutely essential. An upfront payment is required for ‘Specials’ and/or a credit card booking for any of the ‘full body wraps’. And any treatments that are 2 hours or more must be prepaid.

Cancellation Policy

As treatment is prepared just for you, we appreciate 48 hours cancellation notice. Last minute cancellation or no‐show will incur a 100% charge of your treatment. To avoid this, please make sure you know when you are available for the treatment or you are sure you want to experience the treatment. Product Orders

We know you appreciate new and fresh-smelling products, so for that reason we don’t keep a full range of products on our shelves. To ensure you receive the freshest and best quality products, please call us on (02) 9419 5889 to place your order or email us at sophia@bodyflexion.com.au. For specialty products, an upfront payment may be required. A small freight charge is applicable for outside-of-order deliveries.

The Body Flexion Logo

The “Body” is represented as a tree and is symbolic of keeping our physical being and soul together. “Flexion” is a body movement such as the bending of a joint or limb. Combining the two together it has been interpreted as “movement of a tree”.

As a result, the logo describes the movements of the body to grow and extend. The symbol evolved from different images of “flying”; flying swan, flying ballerina and flying feather. These different shapes of flying movements represent our body, mind and soul. The three elements when combined represent “us”.

The three leaf shapes in the logo signify the growing of our body, mind and soul. This is a visual representation of our values at Body Flexion; using alternative methods to care for our clients, allowing them to grow and heal their body naturally.

Inspiration and Beginning

Body Flexion Massage and Skincare was founded by Sophia in 2007. The idea to establish her clinic was inspired by the desire to find a natural way to help others find their inner and outer beauty after watching her mother suffer from a debilitating skin tissue condition.

This is Sophia’s story:

Today’s beauty industry so often focuses on short term beauty fixes such as botox or plastic surgery. However, Sophia firmly believes that beauty comes from within: a healthy diet, exercise and good therapeutic treatments to balance body, mind and soul. With all the stress of today’s lifestyles, we often neglect to take care of our bodies, which in time wear out, leading to various symptoms of premature ageing.

It brings Sophia great joy to share her knowledge and to find the best, long lasting results for both your skin and your body. She regularly attends conferences and meets other professionals to grow her knowledge of natural therapy, massage and skincare techniques.

About Sophia

Sophia Chang established Body Flexion Massage and Skincare in 2007. She believes there are many ways to rejuvenate your life naturally.

Sophia grew up in Australia in a multi-cultural environment. She has two brothers who both work in the healthcare industry; one practicing conventional medicine as a cardio specialist and the other as a traditional Chinese herbal medicine practitioner. Her mother has a rare health condition called Systemic Lupus Erthyma. Influenced by her family and her mother’s condition, Sophia became interested in using alternative methods, including massage therapy, to maintain general wellbeing. This this is what inspired Sophia to create the Body Flexion Massage and Skincare clinic in Chatswood.
