Who we are
Enter the story and world of Book Tees, where the only things that matter are, “where is my favourite book tee? And “what should I read today?”… T-shirt loving and book reading people.
The idea to create tees for booklovers came one morning when I grabbed the novel I was reading, Games of Thrones (of course), donned my favourite tee and noticed it had warped that you couldn’t see the words anymore.Nooo…! I’d just found some free time to sit down to read and this happens! What does a girl have to do I ask? So I started
the search… Fashionistas on the hunt for a great fitting t-shirt to no avail; and many more months of t-shirt spotting on the streets of Melbourne.
Coming up empty handed, the idea was born to design a t-shirt that represented my passion for reading.
I read for pleasure and enjoy fashion, which is how Book Tees came about. I hope you enjoy wearing the t-shirts, as much as I have loved dreaming up and creating the look for all you well-read people out there.
What we do
Mission possible in merging two powerful forces – fashion and literacy into a product instantly recognisable as a brand which supports literacy and access to education for marginalised communities.
Help change the lives of those affected by illiteracy by shedding light on the importance of reading by way of serving as a platform via social media; channelling this vital message to new audiences around the world.
We inspire more people to remember their love of reading and pick up a book along the way; in the hope of increasing the literacy prose and reading skills in teenagers and young adults.
We are advocates supporting MSRead-a-thon by donating a percentage of our sales to MS LTD; helping in their efforts to raise funds for MS sufferers. And of course encourage kids to read moreduring the term.
