Borneo Tour Specialists, has been specialising in tours to Borneo for nearly 20 years. We were arranging tours in the days before Borneo had started to become a popular place to visit. We have gained the respect of the people we work with in Borneo, including government, and as each year passes, we are even that much wiser than we were the year before! Phil Youdale Phil Youdale – Manager of Borneo Tour Specialists Our staff in the Brisbane and Sydney offices travel to Borneo and surrounding areas often so that they can to be up to date with everything which is happening. Phil Youdale is well known by many in the tourism industry in Borneo, as well as government ministers and members of the various tourism boards, and has a good rapport with them. We strive to be sure that the information you get from us is current. If we don’t know the answer – and to be fair, we don’t have all the answers – we will get it for you.

Borneo Tour Specialists is part of a larger organisation – Niugini Holidays – which has been specialising in tours to Papua New Guinea (part of the second largest island in the world, after Greenland) for nearly 40 years. You can see that we have the experience behind us to be able to organise your travel arrangements for a trip to Borneo.
At Borneo Tour Specialists our efforts are concentrated on arranging your Borneo tours, to participate in everything Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei and Kalimantan have to offer.

If you have been trawling the net to find information, you will probably have noticed that there are not too many organisations around which are able to provide all the tour information you need for Borneo. About seventy per cent or more of our clients come from outside Australia for exactly that reason – there are not many others able to provide this expertise and service.

Over the years, with the advent of the internet, we have found that the traditional method of presenting the tours in a brochure has become somewhat outdated and obsolete. The internet provides a fabulous resource where everything is at your fingertips, and you can be sure that you are looking at the most up to date information. We have a basic brochure, however, the information in the brochure is very limited, due to space restrictions. The Borneo Tour Specialists website contains well over 200 pages of information!

“Just arrived back in Brisbane after 17 days away in Sabah, WOW WHAT A TRIP !! If you want to see wildlife this is the place !! Started out in Sandakan then onto Kinabatangan River then Tabin Wildlife Reserve after that Danum Valley finishing off in Kota Kinabalu. The whole tour was put together really well & our guide Ray was just amazing, very knowledgeable . Every place we visited saw something different if thinking about travelling in Borneo you need to visit as many places as possible a minimum of 3 days stay in each would be ideal. The people are very friendly everywhere you go here , it’s a great holiday destination if your wildlife enthusiast ‘s like ourselves. ”

My issues with unsafe accommodation whilst travelling were met with a rude response. They hadn’t even been to the accommodation they put me in. Very unsatisfactory.
