BRI Ferrier is a unique affiliation of expert business recovery, insolvency, forensic accounting and advisory firms. We provide practical, innovative services that help financially distressed businesses to recover or at least minimise the negative impacts of insolvency.

With over 160 staff and eleven practices in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, we work with clients of all types – from individuals, sole traders and small businesses to public corporations and government entities.

We also work with financiers, solicitors, accountants and creditors to address the needs of all stakeholders when businesses face financial challenges.

BRI Ferrier’s history – a timeline

2002  Martin Green and Peter Krejci, from Grant Thornton, establish GHK in Sydney.
2008 Ian Ferrier and Brian Silvia, from Ferrier Hodgson, join GHK to establish Ferrier GKS.

Sims Partners’ Adelaide office splits from the Sims Partners national practice to establish BRI Partners.

BRI Partners joins Ferrier GKS to establish BRI Ferrier.

2009  Jessups Cairns and Townsville joins the BRI Ferrier network as an affiliate providing insolvency, audit and assurance services.
2010  Jessups commences trading as BRI Ferrier in North Queensland, providing insolvency and business recovery services.

Currie Biazos Insolvency Accountants in Brisbane joins the BRI Ferrier network. Ian Currie establishes BRI Ferrier Southern Queensland.

2011  Carrello Partners in Perth joins the BRI Ferrier network. John Carrello establishes BRI Ferrier Perth.
2012  Chapman Atkins Chartered Accountants in Auckland, New Zealand, joins the BRI Ferrier network.
2013  Mackay office opens.

Melbourne office opens, completing BRI Ferrier’s Australian network.

2015 Buchler Phillips in London, United Kingdom, joins the BRI Ferrier network.
2016 BRI Ferrier commences Hong Kong joint venture with Crowe Horwath (HK).
