About Caj Studio Hobart

Caj hair and beauty salon has worked hard over the past 19 years to establish itself as one of Hobart’s premier salons. Located in the shopping heart of Moonah, caj is a unique salon with 18 committed professionals, all dedicated to having you looking and feeling your very best.

Caj’s fully qualified, highly trained stylists offer a full range of hair styling and colouring for men, women and children of all ages. Beauty therapists deliver indulgent treatments including facials, tanning, waxing and gel nails.

In 2013 more renovations took place making way for 13 chairs giving us the ability to increase our client capacity! These new look also makes Caj feel more spacious & allows our nail customers to enjoy our environment!

The atmosphere at Caj is one of relaxed professionalism where stylists are encouraged to express their clients individuality. Our staff listens to what you want, while offering experienced and personalised advice on the latest fashions and the best style and treatments for your needs.

Team

Carol

Carol would like to consider herself a well trained, all rounder in the hair & beauty industry!

She has kept up with the trends over the years by attending many courses & this has helped her now, to train her own staff.

After servicing her own clients for over 30 years, she has stepped away from the styling chair to help sally at the front counter, to supervise & manage the studio more closely!

Carol prides herself on details and she wants this and their service to be the reason that customers keep coming back to caj!

We are very proud that we have a very long standing, loyal clientele, who feel welcome to recommend us to their friends!

Crystal

Crystal has 15 years of service with caj and completed all her training while at caj.

She is now one of our co-managers and is sharing these duties with Anne-Maree.

Crystal holds certificate iii hairdresser and also certificate ii in makeup.

Crystal specialises in vani-t makeup and also holds a goldwell master colourist passport and certificate of business and commerce of colour. She also holds a certificate in ghd styling and is a tanning expert!

Crystal is a specialist in long hair for wedding ……..is an understatement!

Crystal has a passion for styling long hair and doing fantastic make ups and it shows with every satisfied bride and school leaver that graces her chair!!

Anne-Maree

Anne-maree is one of our co-managers sharing these duties with Crystal, she has over 22 years of service with carol.

She has recently completed her diploma in teaching.

With decades of experience in the hair and beauty industry, she holds a masters hairdressing certificate, certificate ii in beauty (basic waxing and facial tinting) and a certificate ii in nails.

Anne-maree enjoys colouring, looking after her regulars and establishing a friendly relationship with her clients.

She continues to attend any training courses necessary to further increase her knowledge in hairdressing, improve her skills and to be a better manager.

Sally

Sal is a qualified hairdresser with many years experience. Her main role is the front of house where she can also give home hair care advice.

Sal is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone when you call, she will always try to accommodate your needs, with time, stylist and services.

She is the best example of what caj means to us all, always smiling, friendly with a natural nurturing personality. Sally still looks after a small, personal clientele.

We all love her and clients always comment on how well she looks after them!

Lauren

Lauren has been working at caj since 2006. Lauren came through the training ranks as an assistant while completing her certificate ii in hairdressing.

She is now qualified and is a valued member on our cutting floor. Lauren does well to juggle part time work with a young family and so she only works for 20 hours a week.

Lauren does wonderful natural foils and is a perfectionist! She is hoping to grow her clientele and increase her working hours when possible.

Justin

Justin has been part of the industry for over 21 years and still loving it. Loves colouring, cutting and just being creative. Weddings and formal hair ups are his specialities.

With his experience in the industry, justin is an all rounder in the salon and very valuable member of caj.

He assists in the training our young apprentices. Justin will bring fun to your visit to caj.

Unfortunately he only works in the studio on wednesday, fridays & saturdays & every 2nd monday.

Justin spends his spare time snapping a camera & is a very keen photographer!

Olivia

Olivia started in march 2010 and is a qualified hairstylist specialising in colour and cutting.

She joined our caj family after managing another large salon for several years.

Olivia brings a good balance of depth to our caj family. Olivia has a young daughter & and is currently available on wednesday, wednesdays 11-8, fridays 11-7, saturdays 9-2 for appointments.

Hannah

Hannah has been hairdressing since 2006, she trained in a city salon and felt like she needed more training and motivation, and so she joined our caj family in april 2012.

She is dedicated to improving her skills to make all her customers feel happy and satisfied.

In a short time, hannah has become a very valued staff member of caj, having taken on a lot of carol’s own customers, after she stepped of the floor.

Hannah enjoys cutting & colour and is a foil specialist.hannah is the ideal staff member to do your hair if you like a chat!

Monique

Monique has recently become qualified after starting her career with caj as an assistant while completing a certificate ii in hairdressing.

She enjoys colouring and enjoys her long hair styling techniques.

Now that she is full time on the floor, she is looking forward to build her clientele!

Natahlia

Natahlia is now in her 4rd year of her apprenticeship.and is progressing very well, she is grasping the technique of cutting well.

Natahlia also did a year of casual assistant whilst completing her certificate ii in hairdressing, allowing her to know that this is the profession that she is dedicated too.

Natahlia is very capable to apply all colours & is now also foiling, cutting & styling mens hair & she is increasing her long hair styling portfolio, with the expert help of our other styling gurus!

Natahlia is so hungry for information and to learn as much as she can in our industry.

We like to wish her well while she is on maternity leave.

Lauran

Lauran is a qualified hair stylist and has been at caj since 2010. Studied her certificate iii and iv in beauty therapy at tafe.

Lauran has a passion for massage and facials. She always continues to improve her knowledge and holds a dermaloigica specialist certificate.

Lauran travels to melbourne on a regular basis to keep improving the services that she provides to her clients.

If you need any advice on your skin please talk with lauran and arrange to ‘map your skin’ and suggest any treatments or products that you may require, you can even arrange some samples to take home!

Lauran works full time to accommodate her growing clientele.

Caitlin

Caitlin joined the Caj family 3 years ago as its 1st ever full time beauty trainee! Caitlin has a passion for all beauty services, nails & makeup artistry.

She is very excitedto have completed her beauty therapist certificate in October 2015. She is very capable to carry out all waxing services, spray tans, facial tinting & facial treatments. She has a firm knowledge of dermalogica products and also can perform treatment facials specially designed to your needs.

She also performs : Eye lash extensions, Pedicures, Manicures, including Gel nails  & she loves doing nail art. When in next ask her to do a personal design for you!

She continues to learn new knowledge & invites you all to keep an eye on caj Facebook page & on the front counter for any beauty specials will be running!

Veronica Blue

She started her beauty career at caj over 19 years ago. She previously worked for 12 consecutive years at caj.

Veronica helped grow the beauty side of the caj business from the embryo stages!

We are very fortunate to have her back into our team & we know that not only will our customers benefit from her years of knowledge in the industry, but also our other staff members as she shares her years of experience with them!

Veronica’s specialities are waxing, she specialises in male brazilians & is extremely quick, which helps waxing to be pain free!

Veronica is available for waxing, tinting, facials, tanning, pedicures, manicures, all nail services & gel nails!
