About Us

Calliope’s Closets started as a children’s wear site after the birth of my first daughter, Calliope.
Calliope is pronounced Ka-lie-oh-pee.
When she was about to turn one I was desperately searching for a plus size dress for her party and found a cool retro swing dress- I was hooked!

One day I was on Pinterest and stumbled across shoes that were amazing – Hot Chocolate Design Chocolaticas.
I searched the net – I found their website and after a few days of trying to find an email address that received a response to my inquiry I was able to get direction in how to stock these amazing shoes.
And from there the store really was born. I started stocking Hot Chocolate Design, Then Hell Bunny, Banned, ReStyle… and more and more labels accepted me as a retailer.
We are only small – I work from home, with now 2 little girls. I very much enjoy the stuff I sell, I love retro, and would love to one day become one of the big hitters in the industry.
