Hi! I’m Sumi,
Clinical Pilates Instructor and Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist.
I’m an outdoors lover and believe keeping active, eating well and taking time to understand and care for yourself are the keys to a healthy, strong and happy life.
It all started with an interest in human anatomy & physiology that led to studies in Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy and Clinical Pilates Instruction.
I’m a former ballet dancer and currently I’m into distance running. Both come with a requirement for me to really pay attention to my body and its cues in order to remain injury free. I practice Clinical Pilates as a means of maintaining core strength, joint stability and mobility.
As a Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist I treat many clients for injury prevention or as part of their injury rehabilitation. Clinical Pilates couples nicely with this as it brings movement back to the basics and rebuilds strength from being able to correctly activate the targeted muscles.
I also work closely with Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Acupuncturists, Podiatrists, Naturopaths & Nutritionists as I know from both my personal and clinical experience that taking care of yourself can sometimes require a team effort. My aim is to help you be your best in health.
