ABOUT CLARE

Clare Keton is a Tattoo Artist and painter currently based in Melbourne (Australia).

Clare has been a tattoo artist for over 15 years and during this time she has found that it’s not

only your artistic ability that develops, but also your willingness to challenge yourself as an artist.

Clare was undertaking a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in painting) degree in 1994 when she was offered a government accredited apprenticeship by Skin Deep Tattoo in Hawaii, America.

Since completing the apprenticeship she has worked at tattoo studios and conventions in the United Kingdom, Europe, Tahiti, Hawaii and Mainland America, Thailand and Australia.

Clare has also traveled and worked with tattoo artists in Japan and Switzerland.

Her extensive travels and studies have given her invaluable knowledge of  tattoo art and body beautification.

Clare draws on these influences, as well as her own, to create her unique works.

She is a practicing artist, having exhibited her work in the National Gallery of Victoria and various galleries around Melbourne.
