The first Clip Joint Salon opened on Melbourne Street, North Adelaide over 45 years ago. During that time, the salon along with the mainstreet has evolved into a lively destination for cutting edge style.

Nestled in-between trendy boutiques and eateries, CJS Melbourne Street is known for its warm and relaxed environment, long serving stylists and loyal clientele. The open plan salon is light and airy and opens up onto a leafy courtyard – the perfect place to relax with a magazine and coffee during your service.

The first Clip Joint Salon opened on fashionable Melbourne Street North Adelaide in 1970. We still operate in this café culture precinct, the heart of cool in South Australia. A second salon was opened in 1983 in Burnside Village, Adelaide’s premier shopping centre. “I visited the salon not long ago to have my hair cut. Having never been before I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my stylist was really lovely! I find a lot of Adelaide salons to be full of snobby or bitchy staff – but Clip Joint in North Adelaide was the opposite. It was a really pleasant experience and I will definitely be back!”
