Long before reaching for a pair of scissors or a tint brush I will carry out a full consultation, paying careful attention to your lifestyle, personality, face shape, skin-tone and hair type.

Coiffure opened its doors in December 2005 and is owned by Maxine Burrows, with Maxine’s professional experience and knowledge within the hairdressing industry and also her love for art.

Located in Brighton, north of Brisbane.

Maxine started her career in 1996 at Haight Ashbury Wellington, NZ and after completing a 4 year apprenticeship Maxine ventured off to London, United Kingdom. Maxine has owned and managed two salons over her hairdressing career, starting her first one at age 23.

From 2000 to 2002, Maxine renovated and refurbish HeadRoc Salon which is located in Highbury Islington. Whilst working as the Manager/Stylist Maxine created a education training program for the staff.

Maxine then relocated to Sydney and completed her vardering training with Toni & Guy whilst working as the Assistant Manager in the Oxford Street branch.

Maxine and husband Steve managed and owned Toni & Guy Brisbane for a period of 2 years. This is where she gained most of her experience from fashion shows, photo shoots to education.

Maxine and her staff had been awarded many accolades over the years, and she has personally trained dozens of staff over her 15 year career, some of whom are now successful hairdressers.

After feeling extremely homesick Maxine relocated back to New Zealand and worked as one of the top stylist and salon educator at Grace Hairdressing for three years.

Maxine worked along side some of the most talented hairdressers in New Zealand whilst participating in the NZ L’Oreal Fashion Week two years running.

Currently Maxine is working as a sole trader at her very exclusive salon  ‘Coffiure’ in Brisbane.
