Col Nayler himself started the business back in the 1950s, where it grew an iconic reputation in mens hairstyles.
In the year 2000, it was bought by the current owners, Tony Lordi and Rick Chiarelli. Both Tony and Rick have been in the hair industry since completing high school.
With the original purchase of the Indooroopilly store, Tony and Rick updated the store’s image to suit today’s market and busy lifestye.
With the success of the No Appointment Necessary ethos in Indooroopilly, Tony and Rick embarked on setting up seven other shops in Brisbane.

“To The COLNAYLER Barber Shop in Carindale, your all amazing, I love your friendly prompt and professional service. I’ve been to your shop 3 times now, and each time has offered me a new experience, an amazing haircut from Le Mei, Jenk, and I think Marissa, sorry if I forgot your name. I love your Barber Shop, and your friendly professional service. Thankyou. Regards Aiman”
“I have been going to this barber shop for at least the last 8 years and have never been disappointed. The owner Rick, has been happy to cut my hair every time I go to the shop and does an excellent job each time. Highly recommend this barber shop if you are in need of that special touch and excellent customer service.”
“Legit worst haircut of my life. Couldn’t follow simple instructions. Refused to admit wrong. Charged me $36 for the ordeal. Wanted to throat punch the twat.”
“I have never had to instruct a barber how to cut my hair but I had to this time when the finished product was far below acceptable. I knew I should have stuck to my usual at Jimmy Rods.”
“Tony from Chermside was a gentleman and very skilled.”
