Welcome to Cranium Hair Salon Manly

Cranium is an award winning hairdressing salon in the iconic suburb of Manly, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, and has been in the same salon location for almost 20 years. During that period adapting to our clients wants and needs has seen the salon become an institution. Our hunger and passion for creating the best results for our clients is still as strong as it was the day the salon opened.

Kelly, Nicki and the team are constantly researching, training and looking for ways to improve our service and skill levels – we will go anywhere and everywhere to ensure that we offer the best there is to offer in every facet of hairdressing.

We believe we use the best products available on the market, these products must be of the highest quality and give ultimate results both in and out of the salon. Any new innovation we research immediately and once trialled we introduce them to you.

At Cranium we love colour, in fact we would say we’re experts in this area.

When you leave the salon we want to be sure you have the perfect colour. For this reason we always blow-dry or cut and blow dry your hair before you leave.

Colour Guide

If we were to list all of our colour prices it would not only be confusing but misleading. Confusing because there are so may variations and misleading because we customise every colour we do, at Cranium no two clients are the same.

Semi’s cover a few greys and are great for shine

We really like to gloss the ends when we tint because it adds shine and condition we call this service colour balancing.

Foils or highlights are customised for you individually every time you visit, from a hint of colour to dramatic changes foils are great for everyone.

Style Cut

Entry Level Stylist

Stylists: Selina and Jess

Our Entry Level Stylists are our “newbies”! What they lack in experience they make up in enthusiasm. They have undergone several years of intensive training and are very eager to please and build their clientele.

Shampoo Cut and Blowdry – $60 (Ladies, Mens, Kids)
Shampoo and Blowdry – $40
Hair-up – $85 (please come in with clean dry hair – it’s extra to wash and blow-dry it)

Stylist

Stylists: Mel, Tiarne and Paul

Stylists at Cranium are usually qualified hairdressers that have had to pass a series of tests to qualify for this position. They have attended huge amounts of training and are very skilled hairdressers.

Shampoo Cut and Blowdry – $75 (Ladies, Mens, Kids)
Shampoo and Blowdry – $55
Hair-up – $105 (please come in with clean dry hair – it’s extra to wash and blow-dry it)

Executive

Executives: Kelly and Nicki

These hairdressers are our guns! They have proven they are experts in all facets of hairdressing. Executives have generally been with Cranium for a long period or have passed skills tests to qualify for this position.

Shampoo Cut and Blowdry – $95 (Ladies, Mens, Kids)
Shampoo and Blowdry – $75
Hair-up – $125 (have to be honest these two are not the best at hair-up – they recommend Mel and Tiarne for this service)

Opening times

We know that it can be hard to get to the salon, we all seem to work later and later. We want to be there when you need us, so with that in mind we are open late most evenings. Opening times.

Appointment reminders, bookings & cancellations

Your appointments are reserved for you so we ask that you give your stylist at least 48 hours notice when rescheduling or cancelling an appointment so that he or she can fill that appointment. We really hate no shows so please be courteous and let us know if you can’t make it.As a courtesy, Cranium staff will call you 2 to 3 days prior to your appointment to confirm and remind you of the date and time. If we miss you we will leave you a voice message if possible and we kindly ask that you call back to confirm your appointment. Failure to give adequate notice when cancelling or rescheduling will result in all future appointments being designated deposit only. This also applies to drastic changes to your appointment. For example, if you’re booked in to get a long colour service and change your mind to get a haircut then that will be treated as a cancellation. Furthermore, we reserve the right to charge 50% cancellation fee on any appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice and future appointments will only be accepted with the payment of a deposit.
