why organic?

It’s estimated that 100 million rural families rely on cotton production. Through years of toxic pesticide and synthetic fertilizer use, soils become depleted of nutrients, plants become weak and attract disease, and crops fail. Families break under the financial pressure and suicide is not uncommon.

Harmful chemicals get into waterways, affect workers and often end up in the food we eat and the fabrics we wear.
The eco-friendly process of farming organic cotton, together with better crop rotation practices, has brought hope and health back to hundreds of communities and the land they live on.

From little things big things grow. Pam​ founded the business and is a very happy​ ​​entrepreneur, as well as being an advocate of organics​ & ethical business practices. She’s always looking for warming sunshine and green places whether it be urban or untouched rural locations.

Coming from sunny South Africa, what else would you expect?

Meet Priscilla. She’s the marketing go-getter in the studio. With a phone in one hand, a laptop in the other and a book and pen floating in between, ​Priscilla creates and delivers all our media and customer correspondence. If you like our Instagram posts, enjoy our newsletters and appreciate our public presence, ​it’s thanks to Priscilla.​ And if that’s not enough to keep her busy, she’s also planning her fairytale wedding to take place in her hometown of Byblos-Jbeil in Lebanon this year.

Pam’s turning point. 

“Daddy, Daddy darling …” 
Growing up, I had the care a father who I could call to in the middle of the night. I would sing out “Daddy, daddy darling” and dear dad would pull himself out of his deep sleep, bring me a glass of water, and return to bed. He must have known I wasn’t truly thirsty; I just needed to know that he was close by.   Our family wasn’t wealthy but we had enough that my parents could pay for each of my sibling’s high school and tertiary education, until we each found our career passions. My passion was clothing design. I immersed myself in fabric textures, colours, and silhouettes; occupied my waking hours keeping up with fast-changing trends; and it didn’t take me long to fall in love with my work. But while I was infatuated with everything fashion, I didn’t realise that my passion was killing eco systems and … dads.
