Crib Point Medical Centre

Crib Point Medical Centre (CPMC) is located next to local shops at intersection of Stony Point Rd and Disney Rd. It is less than 5 minute walk to railway station and bus stop. CPMC’s location is close to HMAS Cerberus Navy base. Crib Point Medical Centre (CPMC) has opened its door and 4 doctors (two female and two male doctors) supported by practice nurse are working at Medical Centre. Other related health professionals such as audiologist, psychologist, podiatrist, physiotherapist and dietician also operate from Crib Point Medical Centre on as session basis for convenience of Crib Point Medical Centre patients.We are fully equipped for general practice needs and pathology collection. We have 2 treatment beds, one of which is designed to accommodate urgent cases. We are fully versed in the care of medical problems and have resuscitation equipment, Oxygen, liquid nitrogen, Nebuliser, ECG, Spiro meter, INR testing, Ultrasound cleaning and Sterilisation facilities available. We have a system in place to triage medical problems that present, so that when serious or life threatening, they will be seen promptly. We also have recall system to remind patients about appointments using SMS and letters. We can manage minor fractures and injuries.

All areas of the clinic have their own networked computer terminal to enable efficient communication and record keeping. Records are all confidential. We have a comfortable air conditioned waiting room. Easy car parking, disabled and ambulance access enable us to cater for people with disabilities. We are well equipped and staffed to provide a variety of medical services for adults and children, as well as workplace health care. We pride ourselves on keeping our patients informed with our recall and reminder system to inform you whenever you need to visit practice for Immunisations (childhood and flu vax),  Pap Smears, Health Assessments, Care Plans, Health Checks, Test results or as determined by health proffesionals at Medical Centre. Patients who need to be contacted urgently will be called or sent a recall letter or SMS.  If you would not like to receive reminders, please advise the receptionist to take you off from reminder system.

Medical Reports
Insurance, license or pre-employment medicals may be performed at the surgery.  An extended appointment needs to be made and the report is not released until payment is received.  Payment is not covered by Medicare and the standard fee is $150.00 plus GST.  We do not fax medical reports.

Travel Medicine
Going overseas? At our clinic we place a special focus on travel medicine and provide travel advice and discount travel vaccinations*.  The required vaccines for a country are often subject to change, so before you travel, make sure that you visit your doctor for the most up-to-date advice.  For information on vaccine prices, or to make an appointment, please don’t hesitate to call reception.Repeat Prescriptions and Referrals
If you need a repeat prescription or referral, you can make a telephone request without a consultation.  The prescription or referral must not be out of date, or we will request you come in for a consultation.  For legal reasons we cannot back date referrals.  An administrative fee of $20 will be charged for the prescription or referral, and must be paid to prior, or upon receiving either.

Pathology
Blood tests, ECGs, allergy testing and other testing is performed or organised by our fully registered practice nurse.  The results must be obtained from the treating doctor by consultation only.Audiologist :  Free Hearing tests are done to eligible patients.
