Ross Calvert | Director B Bus CA JP (Qld)

Ross is currently the managing partner of the firm and has nearly 30 years experience in public practice, the last 13 years as a principal of CC&A.

He has wide experience in accounting and taxation, business valuations, business planning, superannuation and audit. Audit clients include licensed clubs, community and sporting organisations and trust accounts.

Ross is involved with the surf lifesaving movement and is an active patrolling member. He is also a Queensland Reds rugby tragic.

Ross is assisted by a team of highly experienced client managers Ann Anderson, Heather Baguley, Deborah Barter, Kate Flanagan and Mark Shuker.

Pat Crowley

Pat started the firm over 25 years ago after 15 years with the Australian Taxation Office.

The experience and expertise gained during those 30 years has made a substantial contribution to the firm and to the development of a diverse tax and business client base.

Pat has recently stepped down as a director and now consults back to the firm with a particular focus in the Self Managed Super Fund area.

He also continues his association with CC&A through a minority shareholder interest and through his work with our associated Financial Planning practice.

Pat is currently devoting his new found free time to more time with family, including his beautiful grandchildren, some travel and a lifelong struggle with the game of golf.

Our Team

Ann Anderson  |  Client Manager
Ann has nearly 20 years experience in public accounting, having started her career working for a long-standing and well respected firm in Toowoomba.  Her employment at CC&A began in 2006 after spending several years living, working and travelling overseas, working for multi-national companies ABN Amro, Mellon Bank (now BNY Mellon) and KPMG.  Ann is a highly dedicated team member and is committed to providing excellent client service in the areas of tax compliance, business services, superannuation and audit.

In her spare time, when she can be pried away from her desk, she enjoys travel, has a passion for health & fitness, is a devout Man United fan, and loves to indulge her shoe addiction.

Heather Baguley  |  Client Manager 
Heather commenced her accounting career on the Gold Coast in 1979 and joined Crowley Calvert & Associates in 1997. She has extensive experience in working with a diverse range of small to medium businesses. She enjoys a great rapport with her clients and is a dedicated professional.

In her spare time Heather enjoys music, reading, spending time with family and friends.

Deborah Barter | Client Manager BEc ICAA
Deborah comes from a background in Management and Administration.  After leaving the Corporate world behind, Deb entered the Public Practice arena and has been assisting clients with their accounting and taxation needs for over 10 years. Deb joined the CCA team in 2006 and understands that clients rely on her expertise in all things to do with their tax and accounting affairs.

Deborah  is an active in the community having been on the Palm Beach Junior AFL Club committee for the last 3 years and on the St Andrews Lutheran College  P&F Association Committee for 6 years.

When not working, Deb enjoys spending time with family and friends. If this involves watching a game of AFL all the better.

Kate Flanagan  |  Client Manager B Com IPA
Kate has been with CC&A since 2004 and has over 20 years experience in accounting, taxation and audit. Kate attends to the accounting and taxation needs of a variety of local and interstate business clients with whom she maintains  a friendly and professional relationship. She also has many years experience in trust account audit services, providing a number of local law practices and real estate licensees with the peace of mind that all compliance requirements are met.

For enjoyment and balance, Kate likes to run on the beach, swim and plays hockey with her local club, Allstars. Spending time with friends and family are also very important to Kate.

Mark Shuker  |  Client Manager B Bus CA
Mark joined CC&A in 2006 after many years as a partner in a large Gold Coast and Tweed Chartered Accountancy practice. He has over 30 years experience in Chartered Accountancy and specialises in providing tax, superannuation & business services and advice to a range of businesses, professionals & investors. Mark endeavours to adopt a very “hands-on” approach with clients and has a keen focus on attention to detail. This includes being committed to helping clients develop accounting reporting systems which provide clients with meaningful information and which assist CC&A to provide meaningful advice and cost-effective services.

Mark is a resident of the Tweed Coast and can be difficult to pin down to appointments before 9am especially if the surf is “going off”.
