Reviews

“Tired Debarge for the first time today… I had Emma do my hair. For the first time in a long time I left feeling that she had done exactly what I had wanted! Also Steph and Chloe helped out and were great! HIGHLY recommend this salon! They also have a cafe there and I had a delicious latte whilst getting my hair done! Already booked my next appointment! Love this place! ”

“Went in the first time feeling optimistic. I mentioned how the last place had given me had temporarily straightened my hair, and it really didn’t work for me, since my curly hair just went back into insta frizz the moment I washed it. Not helpful since I’m a low maintenance hair person.

The stylist halfway through my haircut, decided to ” retexturise” my hair and being in a good mood I went along. Apparently this meant *further* straightening my hair and changing the cut to suit. I find out a few days later, again, despite the “retexturising” it takes half an hour of effect and a ton of product to get anything even “close” to the initial look after washing it… This does not work for my low maintenance requirements.

However, initially it looked ok, and I decided to colour it as well, and booked another appointment before I left.
A month or so later and I’m utterly over the super frizzy, super messy and unmanagable style this “re texturising” has left my hair in. So I decide to get it cut a lot shorter before the colour.
Instead they colour my hair first… Then ask me how I want it cut. Since the hair cut would mean loosing all the colour I just paid for, I mumble something about trimming it and leave it as is.

3 months later I’m even more sick of the hair do than before. I have a large chunk that just refuses to do anything but stick out like a lump of straight ugly frizz and I’m seriously contemplating just cutting it *ALL* off. It’s already half the length it used to be, and I’ve got only a few tiny hints on the ends, of colour.
Motto of the Story. Don’t ‘let your stylist change your cut mid way. Especially not to something you *told* them doesn’t work, and if they insist it will be great, just beat them with a big stick.”

“I’m not usually one to write a review however I was so impressed with the personalised service I received I felt compelled to write this review. I work in the Mount Waverley area and popped into the salon for a blowdry during my lunch hour. The staff were friendly and styled my hair perfectly in around 30 minutes (the blowdry lasted for days!)I also had a delicious lunch and coffee while getting my hair done. Upon leaving I was handed a lovely little parcel filled with chocolates. A few weeks later I received a letter in the mail asking how my experience was at the salon and if there was anything Debarge could do to improve its service. I can’t think of a single thing that could have been improved – simply excellent service. I look forward to my next visit.”

“Thank you to the wonderful Melinda at Debarge. My first visit was awesome – all the staff were attentive, the salon was relaxing (great music, fabulously comfortable chair) and the end result an awesome hairstyle! Will be back very soon.”

“I am a debarge customer and find the customer service and friendliness of the staff outstanding. I always look forward to being pampered throughout the hair appointment with staff asking if I would like coffee, relaxing head massages or just making me feel I’m an important customer. Apart from my 6 weekly colour & cut the Debarge girls have made me look super for both my daughters weddings with a flattering hair style and makeup which people at the weddings complimented me on. Debarge was a great find and would definitely recommend it!”
