Bridges & Crowns

Replacing either a single tooth or several teeth is often an excellent and more permanent option with crown and bridge treatment.

Bridges are an alternate treatment option to implants or dentures for the replacement of missing teeth. A bridge is supported by crowns secured to teeth either side of a gap, created by a missing tooth. They look, feel and function just like your natural teeth, with the added benefit of preventing the teeth on either side of the gap from moving.

Crowns are a protective cover for your tooth, which are an excellent option to restore your teeth to their full potential. They are generally manufactured from either porcelain, gold or metal alloy for their extremely low allergenic properties. Crowns fully surround your tooth, just like a thimble over your thumb.

Veneers

Veneers are an ideal way to repair or improve discoloured, stained or chipped teeth. A veneer is a thin layer of restorative material placed over a tooth surface, either to improve the aesthetics or to protect a damaged tooth surface. There are two main types of veneers- porcelain and composite.

Porcelain Veneers: Porcelain veneers are extremely thin, yet very durable porcelain covers that sit over the front your teeth. They are bonded permanently to the tooth, with strong dental grade cement. Porcelain veneers look great and feel just like your natural teeth.

Composite Veneers: Composite veneers are usually placed directly onto the tooth by a dentist, and shaped for individual aesthetics. Composite veneers are a good economical restorative solution to improve the appearance of your teeth.

Dental Implants

If you are missing a tooth, or several teeth, an implant is a permanent treatment option. Simply put, an implant is the replacement of the tooth root, where a screw is implanted into the jaw bone which forms the foundation for a crown to be attached. It is manufactured from surgical grade titanium and integrates into your jaw bone to play the role of a natural root. *Please note that any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, a comprehensive examination and discussion will be carried out by your Dentist, to ensure that you are a suitable candidate for this treatment, and fully understand all of the risks and benefits involved.

Tooth Coloured (White) Composite Fillings

Also known as a composite resin filling, white fillings are a mixture of acrylic resin and finely ground glass particles to produce a tooth coloured filling, which is matched to the colour of your surrounding teeth. Composite resin fillings are aesthetically pleasing, as well as being very durable and resistant to breakage.

We  also offer the option of Amalgam fillings, which are made of a mixture of tin, copper and mercury. Amalgam fillings are renowned for their strength and durability.

Dentures

We offer a wide range of custom made dentures, which are made in a highly regarded Dental Laboratory. As well as full upper and full lower dentures, there is also the option of partial dentures, which are made to fit around already existing teeth. Dentures can be made from several different materials, including acrylic, and metal/chrome.
