Appointment Info & Rates other than Justin

Multiple session tattoos or large tattoos are based on an hourly rate of $150.

Appointments are essential for large work, are preferred for medium work, for small work you can just walk in.
A $50-200 deposit (based on the scale of your tattoo) begins the draw-up process and acts to secure your booking.
All deposits come off the price of your tattoo.

Minimum sits on large ongoing tattoos is 3 hours, please only book in when you have the time for this.
Small/medium tattoos are charged on the piece itself, not on an hourly rate.

Tattoo designs will be viewed on the day of your tattoo as artwork is drawn up close to the date of the appointment.

For small stuff, we can usually get you an appointment within the week.
For medium/large stuff, a longer drawing time is needed and appointments may be in a fortnight or so after booking.
Please give us 48 hours notice to reschedule your appointment or you may lose your deposit.

Gift Certificates
We have Tattoo Vouchers/Gift Certificates starting at $100 available at the studio.

Walk In Tattoos
We do enjoy a walk in tattoo and now have an extra artist on so we should be able to cater for you when instinct calls.
You could try calling on the day to see if there are any spots open.
We have many designs to choose from in prepared sketchbooks, can design something for you real quick, or BYO tattoo ready designs.

Spectators
Tattooing is not a spectator sport. We have small workspaces and can’t fit spouses or friends in to watch.
It also distracts the artist which makes them work slower which causes a longer session for the client which ends up hurting and costing more.
So please don’t bring your friends. If they must come, there is an art gallery, op shops, antique shops and coffee shops on the other side of the station.
Scienceworks museum is also really interesting and 1 train stop / 2 minute drive up the road.

Prices
If you’re hunting around for the cheapest quote, you probably won’t find it here.
We deliver fine quality that lasts a lifetime, while still being very reasonably priced.

Age Restrictions
It is illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18, even with parental consent.
If you look young, please bring in your ID to avoid disappointment.
An existing tattoo is not classed as “ID”

As you may or may not know, Steve has decided to try out new ventures.
He has many ongoing tattoos that he would like to finish with limited dates available.
If you have anything ongoing by Steve, please get in touch with us and we’ll book you in to finish it.
Steve has been an integral part of our tattoo family for many, many years and we’ll be really sad to see him go.
He may stay on casually to keep his finger in the tattoo pie.

Any of Steve’s past clients are welcome to come and see our other artists for new work.
Or hassle him for some, he may cave in.

Laser Removal

Our artists are qualified laser technicians using the latest laser technology, a medical grade ND-Yag Q Switched laser.
We can remove all colours, and our laser head has an in-built cooling system.
Laser usually takes several going overs to get it right off, depending on the ink used, the depth of the ink, and how solidly it was put in.
Treatments are undertaken roughly 6 weeks apart.
There is no way to know how many sessions you will need, each person responds differently due to the variations mentioned above, though generally it can be 3-8 sessions, with light shading disappearing after 1.
You can use a numbing gel ~ Emla or Dr. Numb ~ applied thinly before your session.
There is no scarring, no downtime and the procedure is super fast too.

Devils Ink Tattoo and Laser Removal

Tattoo Aftercare

1. Remove wrap after two hours.
2. Wash tattoo with warm water and antibacterial soap.
3. Pat dry and apply Bepanthen cream (not oil) 45 minutes after washing.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 each morning and night for 5 – 7 days.

Your tattoo is an open wound, so treat it like one.
Keeping it clean and not scratching it are common sense.
Keep unwashed hands off it.
Do NOT soak your tattoo in any form of water until healed. Showers are fine.
Do NOT sun bake or any other form of tanning for one month. Even after your tattoo is healed,
too much sun will fade the colour in your tattoo over time. Use sunscreen.
Picking the scabs from your tattoo while it is healing will cause the colour to fall out. Let the scabs fall off naturally.

Laser Aftercare

Directly after the procedure the ink turns a frosty white.
An antibacterial ointment (Bepanthen) will be applied to the area.
There may be some bruising & blistering, with deeper tattoos pinpoint bleeding is common.
The area may become red or swollen, as if moderately sunburnt.

In the week following, no baths or swimming or sunlight exposure.
Showering is fine but you must keep the skin clean and dry for 5-7 days post treatment and the area must not be scrubbed.
Dry the area with a clean towelette.
Redness, sensitivity & blistering may occur during the healing process.
Keep area clean and covered while healing to prevent infection.
You may apply a clean, dry, sterile dressing, change this regularly.
Scabbing may occur in the healing process. If scabs form, do not pick them.
There may be discolouration and a change in skin texture in the surrounding area, which will gradually improve over a few weeks.
