Remedial Massage

is a treatment modality that manipulates the muscle to relieve tension, pain and restriction in movement and to move lactic acid. It uses relevant techniques from Deep Tissue modalities and Trigger Point Therapy and Stretching according to the individual’s needs and response.

Deep Tissue Massage

is designed to relieve severe tension, pain and restriction in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia.

Deep Tissue Massage is often recommended for individuals who, are involved in heavy physical activity (such as athletes), experience continued pain, and

who have sustained physical injury.

Sports Massage

Is a manipulative therapy used on the neuromusculoskeletal system to treat muscular pain and dysfunction and limited movement. It  commonly includes manipulation of the muscles, joint mobilization and joint manipulation.

Trigger Point Therapy Massage

A Trigger Point is an area of local sensitivity and pain that indicates a build up of metabolic wastes and lactic acid in the muscle.

This build up of waste products and lactic acid can be from overuse or strain to the muscle or stress. When “Active,” the pain can be very severe and debilitating, and can sometimes refer pain to other areas of the body and adjacent muscles.

Trigger Point Therapy involves applying isolated, direct pressure to the belly of the muscle or its origin or insertion point to disperse the lactic acid built up, therefore alleviating the pain and increasing circulation to the muscle again.

Relaxation Massage
