THE STORY OF DOTTI

The 1980’s were a time of reinvention, of power dressing and celebrating individual, head-turning style. During this fast-paced era Dotti was born.

Founders Raymond Levis and Linda Bowen launched Dotti in Sydney in 1981.

Rumours persist that the inspiration for the Dotti name comes either from Linda’s mother Dorothy, reputedly a style icon in her own right, or from the stylish shopping destination in Rome, known as Via Condotti.

In 2004 the Dotti chain became a part of The Just Group and began expanding throughout Australia and New Zealand.

In as little time as it takes to bat your lashes, Dotti exploded from just ten stores to opening its 100th store in December 2009.

In 2012 Dotti launched an Australian online store and more recently in 2015 a New Zealand specific online shopping site.

Dotti will continue to conquer the fashion world throughout this year and into the future

“Can always find a good bargain in Dotti Essendon DFO. And the different types of style can be dressed up for work, casual and there are even a few nice dresses that can be worn out on a nice evening or special occasion. There is always sale signs up and further reductions on top of sale prices. If you are lucky to enough, you can even find an item as low as $5. I’m not sure about other Dotti but i find this one always has my size, in fact their size range is pretty good. You would find at least 10 items in the 1 size. The only issue i have is the wait to the change room. Given the bargain you can find i guess people are in Dotti for the same reason. Staff a friendly, quick to assisting and always seem cheerful which also brings a good vibe in store.”

“Aw the all-time chic shop, offering an extensive range of trendy fashionable wear at an affordable cost. Most clothing I find here is targeted at mainly teenagers to mid 20s. In saying that I have found a number of great dresses, pants, tops to suit my age range also. For those of you who are not familiar with Dotti, its a large company owned store owned by Just Group that are found almost every shopping centre across the country they stock everything from accessories, shoes, clothing, giftcards. Etc. Their exchange policy is great, have had a few size issues in the past with items purchased and they have always been great with exchanges provided of course you hold onto your receipt. The girls here at the DFO location in Essendon are young, service is friendly nothing over the top. Whats great I find at the outlets are the discounts are much better than the retail stores, of course doesnt apply to new arrivals.”
