Down Under Tattooing

Down Under Tattooing was originally set up by Steve. Steve dedicated his life to tattooing. He had over 20 years experience, traveling the world to many tattoo conventions and meeting many famous artists in the tattoo industry. Steve was the most awarded tattoo artist in Melbourne. No one else compared, and people still talk about him and his ability with a tattoo gun today.

Down Under is the oldest tattoo shop in Rosebud that continues to date. It is a family shop, now run by the second generation (Kelly Johnson) with the intention that maybe one or several of Kelly’s children will continue in their grandfather’s and fathers footsteps.

Kelly Johnson has been tattooing for over 20yrs. Kelly’s tattooing includes realism, colour, black and grey, maori design and kiwana. Kelly also specializes in cover ups for those unwanted tattoos or ‘botch up’s and fingernail and toenail art.
