Being sustainable is about balance, by meeting the needs of the present without compromising those of the future. We are committed to our planet’s longevity and how we can ensure our actions as a clinic, incorporate a lighter ecological footprint.

Fit out and furnishings

In the construction of this clinic, we made a conscious decision to use recycled, reused and Australian handmade fixtures, fittings and furnishings, where possible. Beautiful, handcrafted and aged pieces replace the need for something new, thereby giving the clinic a retro styled industrial look.

Energy

We subscribe to green energy for our electricity needs to support renewable energy principles. Insulation is maintained through the ceilings and cubicle walls to minimise heating and cooling loss. Our reverse cycle air-conditioning is used only when required. Lighting is provided via energy efficient light bulbs and natural lighting is used in the reception and back areas, all to reduce our energy consumption.

Water

Water is a very precious commodity in Australia. Vichy Showers and similar wet body treatments consume large volumes of water and energy during operation, so we do not use them. To keep a lower carbon footprint, all our spa body treatments are removed with warm towels.

Products

Our commitment to nature and the environment follows through to the products we choose and use. We strive to use only pure elements and natural extracts from plants and if possible, the ingredients are organically grown and produced in Australia. Therefore the products we use are natural, organic and Australian made when possible, and are made free of cruelty with no involvement in animal testing.

Packaging/Brochures

All are environmentally friendly, with recycled packaging as appropriate.

Ongoing Commitment

We maintain a watching brief over ecological issues and environmental matters as they relate to our clinic. We continually source new products of natural extracts from plants that are Australian, organically grown and produced.
